Are there any easy games to master? By easy learning moves and combos and strings.

I heard Doa6 and Sc6 will be easier to learn? Is that true?

By easy, you seem to mean execution of inputs. Then any of the current crop of fighting games are easier to master than ever before. 3d games *usually* have lower input execution requirements than 2d games.

Somewhat. I meant changing the timing and less buttons or combos just easy to excute.

I played vf5, it seems it easier to master.

From what I've played, Killer Instinct '13 has some of the most robust teaching tools in a fighting game this side of Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution. It has a tutorial that teaches you basics all the way up to high level theory, and there's a whole mode more or less dedicated to players who want to learn how to play against actual humans, but don't want to get blown up over and over again online in Shadow Lab.

Just my two cents here. Soul Calibur is super easy to get into, I dunno about mastering but the basics just make sense. Sure a lot of games have your l,m,h buttons that are laid out to make sense but Soul Calibur is even more basic than that. X is horizontal slash Y is vertical. That and the fighters play the way they look.

The average person looks at someone like Juri from SF and say wtf? She might do some kicks or something? Soul Calibur you see a guy with a big axe, he uses the big axe the way you would imagine. Samurai guy plays like Samurai ect. New one's coming out in October Novemberish

The scummy thing about this is that its not like normal games where you can just cancel your pre order of the game. No, season passes are digital, so you are essentially being forced to throw down $20-$60 for non refundable season passes to get the character they are holding hostage, BEFORE YOU EVEN KNOW THE FULL CONTENTS OF THE SEASON PASS! YOU ARE BEING FORCED TO BUY SOMETHING BEFORE YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS!

This fucking industry. Is this real life?

Pimple - Sat, 25 Aug 2018 07:43:38 EST dhETcai8 No.725229 Reply

Sometimes you can buy the DLC individually and in those cases season passes are fine because you aren't forced to buy it or you can buy it later. In those cases it's a case of "would I pre order from this company?". The answer is almost always "no" but I have a couple of exceptions. Okay maybe it's one.

But if you're only letting people who pre order season passes get certain content that's horrific. However only the sort of companies you shouldn't pre order from would do that anyway. If they're willing to do that rather than offering the season pass as a bulk buy deal then they lack confidence in their product. It's not the same as getting a load of collectors shit like bobbleheads and maps and whatever (which is still obviously sold several times over the cost of that shit, AS WELL as creating hype) if you pre order, it's actual game content and it's concerning.

So the moral is don't buy the new Soul Calibur, even the publishers think it's trash.

I've been enjoying xenoverse 2 even though the meta is retarded. Feels good to super god punch to death the frieza energy ball meta players. But being strike focused means pain and suffering against any one with data input and better stamina management. But it's pretty easy to knock them off with a teleport to behind you galic gun, just gotta be fast to enter a strike super.

Meta isn't frieza energy ball, it's a strike combo that leads into final explosion. It's a technique that no can defend.

Snap vanish will get your face punched in if you don't know what you're doing with it. Sounds like you're midgame and don't really know what the meta is. Xenoverse is easy to learn but hard to master. The meta is using a strike combo to knock down your opponent before you use a fast ultimate to finish them off. Do it right and you'll have a combo of about 45 and your opponent loses 30 seconds into the match. Also galick gun can be blocked.

heh at the time of my post almost a year ago that was the game. By the time you posted what you describe was the game. Now it's even more stupid. It's not so simple to get a knock and blast. These days my old strike build is woefully pathetic. I basically just went to fucking around with teh AI for fun but that doesn't keep interest for long. Besides I refuse to buy DLC so I'm out on strong characters and use only my custom.

I've really wanted to try Merkava cause of the youtube videos. I was thinking 'wtf' because of there only being two basic attack buttons but when you stop auto combos short and assist then clash when the partner is out you can do a basic bread and butter combo. Really easy to get into and gratifying. I want a punch character too like Akihiko or Akatsuki

I guess this got patched but those are saucy effects. Blood magic always looks cool.

Yeah, being creative with partner swaps is where it's at. I had never really got into 2d fighters before BBTAG so I had previously been just swapping when I felt like the other character was better suited or I need to gain a little health and space. After watching EVO and seeing how people use the teams as one solid unit, constantly tagging in and out like it was an art, I was really impressed by the game.

Did you ever play UNIST? That's a fun one on its own and Merkava is a lot better in that imo.

Not sure if they patched it out, since I'm training mode the enemy is not resisting. I have a friend on psn who figured out some insane cbos that just juggled me around and I couldn't get out. He had an infinite with Heart Aino. I don't think the combo was really unbreakable, but it sure didn't leave time to think.

The simplest fighting games that aren't Smash (which is pretty fucking deep and creates a huge gap between the autists who learn the bizarre tech and people who can pick up the basics) are anime fighters. Despite popular belief, games like Marvel vs Capcom and Under Night/Melty have relatively simple inputs like 896 and 874 and so on. I highly, HIGHLY cannot stress enough that you should play Melty Blood if you're new to fighting games, especially Actress Again: Current Code which has arcade-style art and inputs on the side of the screen for both characters. UNIST/UNICL have fantastic tutorial modes, but if you're more of a "don't think-- feel!" type your best bet is Melty. You have three inputs and a fourth magic guard that kinda works like Royalguard. There's two styles for beginners, and one of them is even an honest play for most. There's also a ton of characters and clones.
More than that, get a handle on the basics of 2d fighting games first. At the end of the day, a strong grasp of fundamentals will always overpower the pure muscle memory.

Surprised no one had mentioned Arms yet. That's an easy pick up and play fighting game to master OP. All you really do is use your right and left arms to punch and throw and you can also jump and dash as well. Plus they have some non-fighting minigames like Volleyball and Basketball for example.

pic related I main as Byte & Barq.

Arms kinda sucks. That's why no one mentioned it. Its barely a fighting game.

But it is a fighting game that is easy to master and is easy to learn the moves, combos and strings. It’s fun for what it is especially if that’s what OP is looking for Although it’s certainly not worth $60 for the amount of content

hate goku. and it was on heavy sale. I got S1 and S2 dlc packs along with the game for essentially the full price of the base game. So yeah went ahead and got that like 2 minutes after posting that lmao. Currently running adult gohan, ss vegeta, 17. will go blue vegeta once I unlock that. might replace gohan with blue goku and go best buddies team/ TOP final 3. Got me my orange but smurf account will wipe the god damned floor with me.

Custom characters are the most powerful due to min/maxing abilities, though. You're not missing much without the DLC.

I really hated that game the first time I played. It was at a local fgc weekly and I got obliterated obviously. Didn't even land a hit on the other guy.

Well, I picked up two copies since my sister's husband likes DBZ and I like Arcsys games. Actually having a lot of fun playing it now.

The soundtrack is absolutely superb.

man I'm right there with you. It always looked interesting but I know I'm absolute shit at that type of fighting game and fighting games in general when it's multiplayer. So I was holding off but since it was on sale I figured may as well try it and 15$ isn't bad for an ok single player fighter. But I'm ok at ranked and getting better. The game probably is the closest thing to capturing the DBZ fight feeling. Before that I felt supersonic warriors was the closest.
