Your 1080 ti will do very well, depending on what resolution, settings and framerate you want. I'd imagine you're gonna crush 60 frames at 1440p and high(not ultra) settings.

1440p for sure. I have G-sync monitor and definitely want to hit a certain framerate. The textures and increased lod do look amazing but I would prefer to run it smoothly

Apparently a 2080ti can't run it as 60fps on 4k ultra settings.

Reminds me of an article where a game got a lesser review because his computer should've gotten a solid 60 but dipped to 45 on ultra sertings lol.

I'm wondering where they drew the line for Ultra. MSAA 2x looks fine, and going to MSAA 8x is guaranteed to be below 60fps on GTAV for even the beefiest rigs

I never had the money to do PC gaming, so I don't see the whole "60 fps in 4k" being a big deal. I just want a game that runs smooth and doesn't suck.

It's getting harder and harder to find those.

Yeah so the only way to get 4k 60fps with a 2080ti is to play on a mix of medium-high settings. That's what the press was working with when they got to preview it.

The Nvidia specs for 60 fps @ 1440p are an rtx 2070 super, with high settings. With my 1080ti I hope to be running at high settings and get that smooth 60 fps while keeping everything at high, so I'm happy.

I only tried Online because friends were interested in playing it together, and it would work just fine at 60 FPS when nobody was near me, but as soon as players would be apparently near me it would tank down to 10-15 FPS no matter what graphics options. I'm probably gonna get a refund and just wait until the Steam release for them to iron out these bugs.

The mouse control feels good in this game and was designed with it in mind instead of feeling like a lousy port.

Btw, I'm getting lower fps than it felt like. I can play with all ultra setting at 1440p with TAA on high and 2x MSAA and 2x reflection MSAA, and still get an average of around 40fps.

Definitely playable with everything enabled and still 10 frames higher than the console versions, and it really is a gorgeous looking game. I played the ps4 version, but this is jaw dropping at times.

Running the benchmark I can get an average of 60 fps with some adjustments and mostly high settings. I'll get a maximum of 155 fps with these settings or a max of 89 on ultra

This game is legitimately great but I'm also *loving* the fact that I regularly get 90% of the way through big, multi-stage story missions involving buying and customizing a gun, multiple scenic horse rides, herding a goddamn flock of sheep across the plains, and a giant shootout, only for the game to crash and have to restart it from the beginning because Rockstar's save system actively wants me to go insane

Love is a stative verb, so you can't use it in a continuous sense. You can love something. You can't "be loving" something. To love something already implies the temporary, current nature that using the continuous form is used to indicate.

It's still incorrect and fucking annoying, though.

Ride it out and get better, because either the game will be better in a few months from now and potentially on sale or you dodged a dumpster fire port and win in both cases.

Bump because despite the technical issues, this game is fuckin' great.

It's so relaxing to ride around the scenery looking at shit and shooting animals for fun and/or sport. I probably spent 20 hours in Chapter 2 exploring the entire map, living rough and tumble. I'm not interested in the online component, but damn this game is beautiful.

If you liked Skyrim, I have the same sense of exploration that I got there. It isn't a perfect game by any means, but the slower general pace contrasted against the quick action segments are handled great. The game is very easy though, the more you play, the stronger Arthur gets and the easier it is to just mow down any enemy without ever having to craft any special gear or buy great guns.
