Are there any games you're looking forward to playing? I've been wanting to play Radio the Universe for the past 3 or 4 years and supposedly it's releasing soon. Here's the trailer just in case anyone wants to get hyped https://youtu.be/SAxNx8emr0M

Maneater I think it's called? Shark RPG with a relatively open world where you just swim around eating people and attacking things and avoiding coast guards and all sorts. Looks awesome.

Not sure but I think you can upgrade the sharks speed and size and damage and tricks/attacks/moves. Also cosmetic upgrades I'm pretty sure you can find and unlock. Hopefully it doesn't get too paid DLC heavy

Phoenix never even left and Apollo is also a great protagonist. The one thing that I think holds the series back is fans that resist any expansion in terms of characters. What's wrong with new characters?

Stellaris Federations, I need to wait a couple of months after release for bugfixes though.

Also Baldur's Gate 3. Cyberpunk 2077 and Doom Eternal because this year I'm being a corporate whore. Especially BG3 though because I'm hoping Larian can manage something a bit less goofy than DOS2 but only a bit.

Haven't checked how it did, but I would hope that Capcom wouldn't hinge a new entry on the sales of a re-re-re-re-release. The last actual entry (Spirit of Justice) sold well and was very well received. But with Capcom execs who knows. Though I'm confident they've been working on Ace Attorney 7 since they did say a new entry was in development years ago.

Just watched the Doom Eternal Gameplay off Gamespot. Those guys still suck at video games.
I really dont like the mid air shift thing . It's very unsettling and kills the pace and rush of the experience. It also looks and feels stupid. The chain link in the Super Shotgun is also another thing that bothers me. It might be a good idea to use cacodemons as a way to move around the map quickly but like the Shift thing it just kills the pace of the gameplay. I dont know, maybe I'm just being a boomer hating on change but seriously i just dont think this kind of gameplay fits for a Doom Experience. It will be still a decent experience but not as much as we hoped.

Most people suck at videogames, it seems. Honestly, most people just straight up suck at using computers, period. There was a study which implied such but I cannot find it. Participants had people do basic tasks like checking email and scrolling down the page, and advanced to harder things like searching for specific emails, downloading and opening files. Still looking for it, if anyone can find a link.

Yeah well if your job is reviewing games it would be nice if you have a good amount of experience not only playing said games but mastering them as well. But I'm not all that worried. Fucking game upped its platforming parts, adding extra lives, as well as timed jumps with blocks. Honestly, some of the preview videos I saw looked like a first person Mario Experience. Just the kind of shit Gamespot loves.

First person platforming gets a bad rep cause most of the stuff we experienced in the past were ass but I suspect polished enough in Doom eternal to be decent and yet I still dont think it's the kind of game for this kind of shit. A little platforming is fine but I still want to feel like a human being. Double dash, double Jump, Chain, and what else their going to throw at you is not very Doom Like.

No. I haven't sucked at a video game in about 15 years. I had not played a basketball game since NBA Jam in the arcade, and I picked up 2k17 with zero problems. Once you're proficient at using the controller, you should stop sucking at any game with that controller.

How do you know that DOOM:Eternal === DOOM2016? Folks who got good at Dark Souls were completely buttfucked when they switched over to the sequel because the rules had changed, the "game" was fundamentally different despite sharing aesthetics with the original.

I genuinely don't like the look of Doom Eternal. The shifting, the chain link, the giant swords coming out of your arms, the color palette looks way too vibrant, the glory kills look way dumber. I'm still sort of looking forward to it, maybe it will look and feel different when its on my monitor

I think in the end as long as it's an over the top shooter it'll be good. Hopefully the mobility is super pro best player type mechanic rather than a core part of the game. Or maybe it'll work. I mean hyper mobility was half the fun in 2016 and Just Cause 2 was pretty badass.

It would be sad if they screwed this up. They pretty much got it bang on with the reboot, they just need to add more enemies and levels and it'll be amazing.

HYPNOSPACE OUTLAW

Everyone's favorite alternate reality 1999 internet simulator.

Been waiting for it to go on proper sale forever. It just hit 25% off and fuck it, I have been working my ass off lately and I deserve it. This is gonna be the fucking balls. One of the rare 10/10 games on Steam and elsewhere.

Also has music from Hot Dad, and is the origin of if that's how you do that one, can't remember, only done it once. But yeah.

Gameplay wise, I think it's gonna live up to the hype. The story on the other hand, I have a strong feeling that it may not be as good as the first game. I don't why, it's just a feeling in my gut. Uhm, fanfiction tier story. repetitive gameplay. Reused assist. Weird as fuck jobs. Quest system, each quest is long and tedious. characters die as a joke. heavy censorship for no real reason. there is a lot of reason that they didn't get right.

Its weird as heck. The first one is great, but Bravely Second just felt kinda aimless. Didn't really have a point. Mind you, im one of the people who actually enjoyed it. It was still a visually stunning experience on the 3DS and the combat system didn't grow much but the features they added was enjoyable. It had some sections that were really boring so I understand where everyone is coming from.
The demo actually is kinda important toe understanding the story, which was a nice treat for everyone who played it, but the other got left behind.
I probably would've preferred we got Three Musketeers go on a wacky adventure over what we got. Also Jean Voice actor is atrocious. I had to change to Jap voice acting every time he was in scene.

Its ok though the ending made it worthwhile. it wrapped up some of the leftovers from the first game.

They also announced the localization of the new George Kamitani game, 13 sentinels Aegis Rim. Cant wait to try that one out. VN mixed with Mechas sounds like a lot of fun. I only hear good things about it. It also was sold out for a long time in Japan during to the lack of stocks in shops. Apparently it was a big hit.
