You ever play a game where the world is just so comfy, and the characters you meet are all so interesting that you just get super attached to them, and by the time you beat the game you feel legitimately sad to have to say goodbye?

Most games I can easily shelf when I'm done with them, but there's some that I just never want to leave. I'm thinking of places like Psychonaut's Whispering Rock or Clock Town in Majora's Mask. Or my parties in Chrono Trigger, Undertale, or CrossCode. Finishing those games feels just feels like moving away from home or losing a family member. Anyone else ever get that feel?

Oh, I guess you don't really have a party in Undertale, but you still meet some good homies. Substitute Mario RPG.

I do feel sad when 199/200 people in my m&b army are slaughtered. but then I know it's just a case of touring the land, conning peasants into my abattoir-like military formations.

Fable series in general. Bowerstone and Oakvale were so comfy.

Oakvale was incredibly comfy in Fable 2. Cuddly balverines coming hug me as sirens sing me to sleep.

1 was the best for sure, but you can't deny the good moments had in 2 and 3. As disappointing as they were I had fun with both for a while.

Yeah I enjoyed 2 enough and it did have its' moments, but Fable 3 was just a dull slog from beginning to end for me.

Fable 3 was so bad. I hope Playground Games can take it back to the charming as fuck atmosphere of the first two games. I still don't understand what Molyneux was thinking.

Fallout New Vegas, but I'd just stay in Goodsprings. Going anywhere else is a dumb idea. Might have to help drive off Powder Gangers once in awhile, but other than that...not much trouble round these parts. Good place to take it easy.

>good huntin' (lots of meat from mutant insects, coyotes, and brahmin livestock)
>good drinks (endless clean water and liquor)
>good company (surrogate grandpa Doc Mitchell and milfy barmaid Trudy)

One of the most relaxing locations in a videogame IMO. Reminds me of the summers in the country when I would look after my Uncle's cabin, which used to be a general store.

Idk man most places in Fallout can still suck.

Even in a place like Goodsprings the Legion could one day knock in your door and force you to partake in a lottery where all the losers are crucified.

Yeah you're right. They sound like your kind of people.
I honestly only cared for the khans. I killed house, and betrayed the NCR and only sided with Caesar cause I didnt want to Duke it out with Lanius. He's too over powered.

You're a charmless nitwit in games as well? You can just tell him to go home you know.

Lanius is a turd and requires copious stimpack use and a bit of mine abuse to kill. Not that it you should be shy on resources by then. However really Benny's suit and some party time mentats or day tripper are far more your friend than a minigun.

Yeah that's great. Imagine ending the game with a nice conversation. I like that the option is there but that's no way to end game.
And I didnt want to waste all my stimpacks on him since I still got two dlcs to go through. He's a shit final boss, one you have to abuse to win be cause form some odd reason they decided to give a Gorillian health points and no way to kill him run away and toss bombs. Shooting barely does anything and when the fight starts he's already right up in your face.
Hate to admit it but the Final event in Fallot Four was better. Best ending I the series was the first Fallout.

There is no post game in F:NV. One of the few bad ideas Obsidian had. Doesn't help that NV's endings for the most part suck and all assume you just immediately died of a heart attack a moment after the Second Battle for Hoover Dam ended.

Must've been a mod. I never played the game without mods. Im still glad I did since Honest Hearts and Lonesome road make more sense if you've done it after the ending of the game. One explains the origins of Caesar and the other more focused on your own past. I guess it's not necessary to have finished the game to get into it but it helps.

No way man everyone knows the Dwemer warped themselves into the Mohave desert just in time for New Vegas.
