Here is a thread about some good games for free that we could enjoy, go ahead and post some here with a description of what it's like and who may enjoy it and why.

This contribution here is Planetside 2 on steam. This world puts you into the boots of space age warrior helplessly tossed into the chaos of battle, your only hope is to use your wit or skill to fight your way to victory and gain more sophisticated tools of war to aid yourself and your fellow troopers. Any fan of Halo/Killzone or space age technology and games will be enticed by the challenge of being just another helmet in the horde of horrendous battle.

On the field you may find yourself riding in or driving a war machine and perhaps marching into war alongside of your fellow troops in hopes to thwart back an enemy that is terrorizing a territory which you are tasked with maintaining as your own. The blare of explosives and barking of gunfire creates a cacophony of destruction as you persist to press onward to victory while the hapless soldiers around shout to each other for aid or order. The intensity of manning the guns of a turret to hold a position or the bravado of sneaking behind enemy lines to ruthlessly assassinate your foes will give you a rush of emotion as you surge through the worst of weaponry and technology set to destroy or perhaps aid you.

In the air you'll fly gloriously onward as you are subject to rockets and projectile fire while you attempt to provide support to those in the air or on the ground below. Perhaps you may attempt to out maneuver and destroy oncoming foes as you find yourself trapped within a heated dog fight as shrapnel and weapon fire pierce the hull of your space ship leaving you to succeed or be forced to eject yourself from the situation and land on the ground below whilst your space craft plummets downward smashing the terrain in a burst of flames.

It is an awesome experience and a great one for being free, I highly suggest you suit up and lose yourself in the varying scenery of these epic battles on the planet of Auraxis and have fun innovating your tools, tactics, and technologies to help you and your team succeed.

Here are some redeem codes for free weapons and gear to get you started if interested:

The world of Runescape is inviting to adventures of all types and can be stressful or relaxing in many ways. OSRS is a classic preservation of an older style compiter MMORPG available for free on mobile or PC and is a good way to pass the time for anyone looking to venture into a strange world of shenanigans.

In the realm of Gielinor you'll find many treasures, items, tools, skills to train, monsters to kill, people to socialize with, and areas to battle upon as well as quests to partake. You can lose yourself for hours chatting with players and attend parties where valuable goods are often dropped upon the ground by the generous, or simply sit back and do some fishing or farming as you casually occupy yourself with some basic tasks to be done. If feeling more competitive one can venture into the wilderness for a fight or even gamble their wealth by staking it in a duel at the desert arena of Al-Kharid, or perhaps roam the PvP worlds in hopes to murder or unfortunately be slain by some random passerby.

It is a splendid game to occupy yourself happily with the company of other players or persist alone with patience to obtain more power and wealth. One can even be a nuisance as there are many swindlers, beggars, trolls, and those who use macros and bots which provide the game with the authenticity of the past days of 2007.

Wether you're looking to make some friends or enemies it is a wild world of wonders.
If you are interested here are some free redeem codes to unlock some unique things and there is even a Wiki page on some hidden Ornate Armor you can find on your own personal scavenger hunt.

It's pretty hard to die or get raided even, currently. They actually only recently even re-enabled animals being able to kill you. Russian killsquads have been nothing but a meme since probably world 6-7. Permadeath is pseudo-opt-in now, anybody can still kinda kill anybody, but unless you've toggled a certain skill that makes it easier for you to kill people, you have protection and can teleport to your base after a bit when you get knocked out. This does not prevent people from looting your KO'd carcass, and you can still die if you're at low health or they toy with you.

Polish kill squads still around in force at the start of each world, though.

Recently the reset cycle has been approximately yearly.

Though, I guess I should note, the same type of tryhard botmaster bug-abusing autists still exist in-game, and have quite a bit of sway over the game's design in that the developers feel that they're basically required to always be considering that people are going to try their hardest to automate/break everything.

EU Server is usually always loaded and I have to sit in wait to enter a match for a few minutes. Me and my buddy over seas love to jump into a tank as a two man crew to fuck shit up when we can.

If it were empty enough (never happens on EU) i'd just go cruise around to harvest some Cortium in an ANT vehicle for the much needed certs. Can always press the J button to launch yourself inside a pod straight to the combat zones too which makes it easy to get around to the action.

It definitely has the huge scale down though. You feel like you're in a real war, kinda. You basically need to join a clan or whatever. Then you roll with ya Boyz and fuck shit up. Shout outs to the Pink Fairies

Yeah the wall is essentially spend hours in combat for a minimal amount of credits or pay to win features and make it easy with daybreak cash.

The VR training lobby does allow you to test out weapons and upgrades before buying them which makes it easy to decide what you do and do not like on your unit or vehicle.

I love/hate Runescape

I love it because it's easy to play and largely a mental task, trying to figure out the best methods for your goals and putting them into action with minimal physical effort, and there's a huge world full of stuff that tends to serve a purpose, even if it's not immediately apparent. Compare something like WoW where you have huge rolling plains sprinkled with enemies and resources to RS where everything is purpose built by hand for a reason.

I hate it because it's all so pointless, the goalposts are constantly moved farther and farther away to the point you need dozens upon dozens of hours of doing the same ultra-repetitive mindless task just to reach a level goal that won't really unlock anything particularly new or useful, often you only unlock ways to grind slightly faster or more efficiently, it's just a big cycle of getting points that barely mean anything. It's like Cookie Clicker Online, essentially.

Yet, seeing everyone else doing the same things at varying levels of efficiency lets you feel like you're part of something, learning from people going faster, teaching those going slower, in what's largely a no-risk environment. It's somewhat comfortable, though I feel there's no end goal for me. It's just a safe hangout, though 3/5 of the time the people talking are, well, children.

It's the kind of game you can play when you're too exhausted to play an action game.

But there are only a few weapons in each faction that are significantly better than any of the other ones, as the weapons are generally highly balanced. A good player can get just as many kills with any vanilla starter weapon as they can with any other weapon. It's not like unlockable weapons are actually more powerful, as all weapons have evened out trade offs between rpm, damage, projectile velocity, etc.

It's a little different for vehicles, but even then it doesn't take very long to build up enough credits for some basic load outs and upgrades on a vehicle or two. Still, all the attachments and changes for vehicles are subject to those same sets of trade offs between damage, velocity, general usefulness, etc.

As far as other people have said regarding player count, I heard that they just in the last couple of months broke world records in player counts on a single map. It's all because of the new update coming out, which will hopefully keep players.

Honestly, I can only dream they would implement a lot of the gameplay mechanics of PS1 such as inventories, lockers, vehicles storage spaces, physical animations for entering vehicles and entering different vehicle seats by physically entering on different sides, hackable vehicles, hacking terminals to capture outposts, inventories (meaning you can take enemies items when you kills them and store them in your locker for later), a persistent world where the maps don't automatically reset every 24 hours and you capture a continent by physically capturing a continent and locking down all of the warp gates, and you own that continent (able to travel freely to and from it, building fortifications for the inevitable enemy invasion, exploring) until another faction breaks through a warp gate and retakes some of it.

TBH, I really enjoy planetside 2, but it's a poor, bastard child of the real thing as they completely gutted the vast majority of the different gameplay aspects, utterly destroying any depth or complexity it had, making it a bland, meaningless shooter like any other, except for the size of the battles.

Dead frontier 2 is pretty sweet online zombie MMO in 3rd person for running around trying to survive in a world like Resident Evil. Scavenge for food, ammo, things to drink, supplies, medicines, guns and other goods to trade or stash at the different markets within the various survivor outposts. It costs gasoline to fast travel and you can upgrade/use your car to store and haul some items too.

Currently no controller support unless you get something like Xpadder. And you can run around nekkid like that Conan game if you're into that which can be entertaining. Overall it's pretty fun clearing buildings for loot, boss hunting, picking up missions and fighting other players in PvP but they're going to add more elements of the first game soon like OutPost attacks and elaborate more on different skills and aspects.

I'd say it's pretty solid for being made by such a small team of primarily just one dude, could definitely use more improvements but is fairly fun as it is.

MASTER OF SIN... for mobile

It utilizes the E1M1 tune, different backgrounds, and all the monsters/sprites from the original Doom so that you play as the demons in a combat style similar to the game WarFare 1917 sending units to fight eachother. Definitely a good time/demon killer for some fun when you're on the toilet or waiting around.

I have heard good things about Path Of Exile being heavily influenced by Diablo 2, though I've also heard it can be meticulous when it comes to building a character properly. It is a free 3D online action RPG in the Hack and Slash genre of gaming.

I have yet to play it myself though a pal of mine is always on it, so it must be appealing enough to get such good reviews. Check it out and let us know how it goes.

Vindictus is great. Real fun gameplay and easy to pick up. You can waste as much time on it as you want, but it does get grindy later on. I had to drop it once the appeal disappeared but its an alright game.

As for free games, I just play on wow private servers with a couple of friends. While Overwatch kept on turning into shit,
Paladins managed to stay mediocore through the years so i still mess around in it from time to time. It still suffers from the same Overwatch problems but not as intensely.

After some new updates the game is fabulous.

  • Now completely open world
  • Outpost attacks (Zombie horde raids)
  • Controller support and button configuration

Currently there is also a Covid-19 event boost for increased XP and loot chances. It's amazing that the game is free, puts you into the shoes of what feels like a regular survivor in raccoon city.

Definitely recommend just to have since it is free and a good time (and zombie) killer.

How bout you make an addition of something rather than be a rude or toxic and profane waste of space and do something good for others rather than your own amusement? By all means keep shitting up our community here by acting like the jaded and pompous ass you portray yourself to us as.

Cry more. Nb.

>looks like its made by the same scammy people who did Nether.

How do you know it's made by those same guys? Nether was a fuckin garbage game and a rip off but I can't find any connection between Nether and this other game.

the map and world-layout looks the same.
Also, the controls are very similar in their floaty and unresponsive way.

It's open world dumb-ass.... you seem like you just want to shit on something for the sake of it.

>Also blah blah blah

Seems that you also didn't even bother to play it and are just picking shit to spew out from negative reviews on steam like a chud. Fuck off and complain some more somewhere else? Thanks for the laugh buddy.

Also quit bumping this thread unless you got something good to share. Nb.

Astonia. It's a classic MMO CRPG that is a bit text heavy kinda like planescape torment and classic like it too or other similar games such as Ultima. So far so good, me and a friend are playing it now. Got a steep learning curve but being lost in a world discovering what to do while trying to solve quests is all the fun in the wonder of it.

"The Return of Yendor is a classic fantasy MMORPG. The game features oldschool RPG mechanics such as highly customizable characters, a high variety of spells, skills and professions, complex quests in a rich high fantasy/steam-punk setting, featuring an intricate PK and PVP system"

It is free through steam.

F2P RPGs are free if you say "no" to every micro-transaction, right?

Some are just free, not all are good though but a friend suggests Eternium for mobile. Emulators and roms are mostly free depending what you use for mobile or PC too.

when it comes to nabbing free mobile games the app called aptoide can be sweet for grabbing some .apk files though requires cracking some of them such as downloading and placing the data files into the obb folder, and then opening the .apk... but that's not exactly legal though it works... have to check them for viruses too.
