I play sometimes late into the night sporadically. Never did the online stuff. Are the seasons strictly online? There's a lot about Diablo I never understood and didn't bother to look into because I more use it as a sort of autopilot kill a lot of monsters til I pass out thing.

you don't need online to play seasons, but if you want to play multiplayer you need online

played when it first came out on PC years ago, got a switch and have been enjoying the conversion

I got to say this game sucks. I regret buying it. I bought the battle chest and then they want me to pay 15$ extra for the necromancer class.

In a few hours one night I got to level 35 on a barbarian. I thought the game was going to be more difficult so I played hard mode and non hardcore. The whole experience turned into literally whirlwinding around dungeons killing everything. I could stand in front of bosses whirlwinding them and I guess my gear and shit gives me HP from rage use and HP regen by the second.

I made a hardcore expert toon today and that was easy too. It's just a gimmick of avoiding powerful mob packs from ratpacking you with their special abilities and avoiding AoE spots on the ground until you tip the scale with your abilities and gear and nothing matters but spamming your best attacks to destroy everything instantly.

I regret the purchase and I want people to know.

I just bought it on PS4. Don't play much dungeon crawlers but I was looking for a time sink and this looks fun. Literally just started so I don't have much of an opinion but I chose monk because using fighting moves seemed fun

Wait, so they removed one of the best D2 classes, added the witch doctor (which sucked monkey balls) and then when people complained about not summoning hordes of the undead, they added the Necro as a DLC? Fuck that. Glad I only played for an hour on my friend's PS4.

BTW there's hacker items in the game that are easy to get because they've been duped by every man and their dog. My friend had a gem that just gave like +100000 to all stats. He had a whole chest full of them.

I love the witch doctor, I was a necromancer in D2
the pets are more powerful without having to slow the game down with legions of skeletons, although that was fun it caused my shitty computer to have aneurysms.

as a fan of the DMT, i love sending my poisonous exploding toads to wreck havoc on demons.

so can you only hack on PC or can you do it on switch too?
also in a game where your supposed to hunt for loot, your surprised it looses its appeal when you don't hunt for loot but just hack it?

>toon
This one word exemplifies why everything Blizzard has done is absolute cancer. I didn't even realize this was faggy lingo from Blizzard until recently. Thankfully, it is extremely rarely used.
>toon
stop using it. You sound exactly like the kind of person who deserves being ripped off by Blizzard-Activision.

I thought the use of the word toon came from that weird MMO Toontown from the early 2000s
I do agree it's pretty lame though

I guess it came from EverQuest or something, back when the characters look like cartoons. I'm glad Diablo 3 has kept that unique childlike design aesthetic that appeals to young boys.

The term "mob" is still thrown around, too. That comes from mobile, which referred to something that moves around in a MUD. Probably when enemies were just built as moving objects.

What about Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

It was literally called Toon Town.

add "cast" used to refer to streaming, to the list of shitwords.

>>751555
the mob meme is weird. fought nothing but enemies and monsters in games until getting on minecraft in the early beta days. then suddenly it was mobs mobs mobs mobs, even spilled over into terraria. like did the old MUD and dungeon game geeks popularize it or was it started by the dev being from that era? weird shit.

One of the aims of language is to to have less syllables, its pretty natural that monsters and enemies got replaced by mobs. Good thing that a mob is a fitting word in itself, not just abbreviation of "mobile", cause it makes it more natural to adopt by people that dont know its origin.
Cast is redundant cause stream is already one syllable, thats why it didnt catch on.
