I haven't played games in ages but I'm started to get back into it.
I really like the arcade style because it's easy to pick up and put down without too much investment. Been playing a lot of retro Sega arcade games like Crazy Taxi, Typing of the Dead, Bass Fishing. But those are all 20 years old.

Are there any newer arcade-style games out? For Windows or Android, I don't have a console. I don't like fighting/beat em up either.

idk Downwell? procedurally-generated games in general might be what you're looking for.

Seconding procedural generation, try Binding of Isaac or spelunky

Enter the gungeon is great, can save after each floor if you need to quit/pause for work or something

Crossout kind of fits the description. Games are 3 minutes long.

Nuclear Throne.

It's the only rogue-lite I have any love for and is very, very arcadey. If it were a real arcade cabinet I'd have lost like 50 dollars in quarters to it. I've played it for over 200 hours and I still haven't seen all the content. It's fucking magical and addictive and awesome.

Truly a 10/10 game and the greatest twin-stick shooter I've ever seen. The soundtrack is fucking banging, too. Play this shit. Give the devs your money.

Orcs Must Die 1 + 2 are great score-based tower defense action games. The second game is one of my favorite co-op games of all time.
