fffffFFFFFFUCK YEEEEAaaahhhh

What the FUCK is on your wishlists???

Grim Dawn is only 5 bucks. Apparently you can take an additional $5 off when you spend $30 so I'm thinking about nabbing that, Kenshi, and Tabletop Simulator.

Just picked up Total War: Warhammer (already have the first game) and the Tomb Kings dlc to get the $5 off, excited to try out those new factions. Got my eye on Disco Elysium and Plague Tale for when I get paid tomorrow.

Sick; I have close to 300 hours in TW:WH2. Tomb Kings are fun but a little finnicky and underpowered at first, at least from what I remember. I haven't played in a while.

Disco Elysium has been on my list for a long time since I've always heard good things about it, but I also heard it's like emotionally exhausting or something? Is that true?

Noice, I’ll see how I feel about the Tomb Kings when I get to them. They’re pretty susceptible to lord sniping from what I’ve learned playing against them, cuz their undead troops don’t have traditional morale.

And from what I’ve heard, Disco is a text-heavy Eastern European artistic rpg that deals in heavily in themes of existential philosophy and socio-political undertones. My friend who loves it added that it has a lot of story surrounding a labor conflict in the port city that the game takes place in, and that it’s definitely emotionally exhausting (I’m a narrative game whore though, so that sounds great!)

Rockstar games rarely go on sale man. If you're wanting to get RDR2 any time soon you're probably just gonna have to bite the bullet and shell out the 60 bucks.

>>753856

I'm still a noob to TW WH2 so I don't have the best idea of balance. Just started a tomb kings playthrough though and they're pretty cool. They do feel noticeably weaker so far at the start compared to the first playthrough I did as the high elves but their units are free to recruit so I'd assume that they get pretty crazy once you start unlocking higher tier units.

>Disco Elysium has been on my list for a long time since I've always heard good things about it, but I also heard it's like emotionally exhausting or something? Is that true?

It definitely does go over some heavy themes that could be draining for some people. I think anyone that enjoys great writing should play it though. Definitely was one of my favorite games of 2019. As long as you know what you're getting into before you buy it and you're cool with the fact that 99% of the time you're going to be reading and there isn't really any combat to speak of then it's a great time.

Ehhh, 20% is still not enough to warrant purchasing this game. But you're right, I don't expect it to go for lower anytime soon. According to isthereanydeal.com first time GTA5 went 50% on steam was two years after release, and it never got under 50% except when it was offered for free on EpicStore.

I'm not particularly interested in playing it all that much. Normies bring it up all the time to break the ice by getting me to talk about my hobby, but I got nothing to say cuz I haven't played it yet. I feel sorry for them and myself when it happens.

Put a couple hours into Grim Dawn last night, it's p cool. I'm putting points into Demolitionist at the moment and enjoying it so far. I might dual class with Nightblade or whatever it was called.

I was a little bummed that there's only one generic character model when you make a new character though. Maybe I'm spoiled by Diablo 2 and PoE in that regard. The cosmetic effects of the armor and weapons are cool though, so I guess that makes up for it.

I love your taste.

Already got these games but Blasphemous and Titan Fall are not worth a buy imho.

Tried Blasphemous and it has all the issues Dark Souls-like games have.
Unfair hitstun, sluggish movement, unresponsiveness in all the ways that count.

Titan Fall 2 has georgeous and awe-inspiring leveldesign. Also fantastic combat and sound-design. love it ! didn't play the multiplayer because multiplayer is just boring).

Unfortunately its supershort " - - 6 hours !! and I really took my time!

RDR2 is worth full price. I bought it back near the PC release date in November and I've put 350ish hours into the game so far. For me, it is one of the most calming video game experiences I've played in the last 20 years. I can just start it up and fuck around for an hour and still feel like I'm getting a great experience.

Avoid spoilers if you can. Your mileage may vary depending on how well you connect with the characters, but I think RDR2 is a modern gaming masterpiece. (I haven't touched online.)

Sale wise- I got Spyro and Crash for 50% because I'm an adult who will waste $50 CAD on nostalgia.

I don't really know much about RDR2. I even avoided that famous Nakeyjakey video. I didn't play the first one but someone spoiled the ending for me. It didn't really bother me that much, I feel like the ending isn't really the highlight of the game itself which speaks to how well the story is written.

Sometimes it's great jumping into the series in the second installment. Usually the first game has its story laid out so properly, you get bored with it. Second game, you're just wondering what the fuck is going on for a good part of the early game and it keeps you hooked.
Turns out one of my friend has it so I guess il end up buying it just to check out the online experience.

Steam is free to prevent you from playing, modifying, reverse-engineering, sharing, or selling this thing to someone else.
It's not philosophical, it describes a relationship between you, steam, and the state that definitely isn't personal property.

No, not really.
I thought you could play it through steam but if it means downloading origin than fuck no.
Great campaign but it's too short. For the price you expect to play the multiplayer, which has a high learning curve and I would suggest anyone new to stay away from it unless they're ok with dying all the fucking time without clear reason as to who shot you. You'll have a better time playing Quake Champions multiplayer and it's free to do it and you won't need the Bethesda launcher to do it (I think).

I really never understood why people say this all the time. It's not that hard to get into or understand at all lol. I jumped into the game a little over a year ago and did just fine even as a brand new player facing vets. I don't even consider myself to be that good at FPS games either. It's literally just a normal shooter with the addition of wall riding and mechs. It's not that difficult to get into. It'd be even easier to get into the game now that it's on steam too since the steam release brought in a bunch of new players so you won't always be facing people that played more than you.

Why does Orirgin get hate as a launcher? I mean it sucks and I know it would be easier if it was just through Steam, but so many games do that shit these days, don't most people just have all the launchers... or am I weird for that? Like it had to reinstall Uplay when I played AC greek myth version since I hadn't used it in years, what's the dif with Origin games?

I've got Steam, GoG, Origin, Uplay, Xbox games and probably a few others that I'm forgetting. I thought that's just sort of how it is if you want to play EA games or Ubisoft games or Windows game store games. nb cause I got Terraria and I think I'm good on this sale.

I had a hard time learning how to utilize the high mobility of the game. The sliding, double jumping, grappling hook, bhopping, it all gets overwhelming in multiplayer. Especially since the game has a dedicated fanbase that had plenty of time learning how to use all that stuff. I know I'm not the only one, plenty of players complain about it. " git gud" really does apply here but you cant deny the game doesnt have a steep learning curve for anyone unfamiliar with the TitanFall gameplay or even someone who played through the campaign one time on normal difficulty than jumped into the multiplayer right after.

Frogger - Sun, 28 Jun 2020 18:32:12 EST xxALWBXM No.753997 Reply

That's not the experience I had at all. I had never played a Titanfall game at all and I jumped straight into multiplayer without even touching the campaign. Took maybe 2 hours tops to get a grasp of the mechanics, and that's while I was throwing back beers the whole time which isn't exactly ideal for learning lol. Obviously I wasn't a pro in 2 hours but it was enough to hold my own and go positive on my K/D ratio. Some players were just flat out better than me as well but that's gonna be the case when you jump into any FPS game that's been out for years since some people have been playing thousands of hours.

I don't see what really makes it all that complex though. I think most players should be able to get a hold of the mechanics in a couple hours, after that it's just a case of learning the maps and practicing some. Games like Overwatch have way more going on in them than TF2 and tons of noobs play that and have a good time. I can see the argument that it's hard to get into just because there's been a hardcore playerbase that plays the game religiously, but even that isn't really an issue now since the game came out on steam and injected some life into the multiplayer.

I guess everyone's different but personally I don't see any reason to not recommend the game to new players. I found that it was a pretty easy game to get into and have a lot of fun.
