Are there any online-coop-games on STeam that are easy to fire up, not too demanding on hardware (and are not Deep Rock Galactic, since I guess this will get boring fast) ?

Kane & Lynch 1&2 say they have Remote Play Together, which I think is multiplayer but only one person has to buy the game. I know CSGO used to have events where you could play a 2-player co-op scenario. They were pretty fun, but it looks like you have to download them from the workshop now.

there is still no game that gives you this simple satisfaction of running around in Extermination Days maps and blasting demons to bits together with friends.

How is it even possible that one dedicated guy can create something so fun and unique, while every "dev" on steam keeps sitting with thier thumbs up their asses?

At least Graven gets my hopes up.

>DayZ, RO2
buggy, dumb AI, no low-spec, not even close tho the smoothness of so many Doom- and Quake or RCTW-mods

>Payday 2
Fun heist FPS (if you have a good crew).

>Orcs Must Die 2
Excellent hybrid third person shooter / tower defense that might scratch the itch for something more strategic.

I have a lot; some are very old, some are new. I'm just gonna go through my library and name all the ones I think are worth a try. (alphabetically i guess)

>Alien Swarm Reactive Drop (free alien-themed stick shooter)
>Barotrauma (Sidescrolling multiplayer Submarine simulation)
>Blood: Fresh Supply (90s FPS w/ xinput support and splitscreen)
>Broforce (sidescrolling shooter)
>Death Road to Canada (roguelite zombie survival)
>Door Kickers: Action Squad (sidescrolling tactical SWAT shooter)
>Killing Floor 1 (runs faster and plays better than KF2 imo)
>No More Room in Hell (super realistic zombie survival)
>PayDay 2 (lots of content and low demand)
>Resident Evil 5 (2-player resident evil in africa)
>Risk of Rain 2 (Co-op roguelike shooter with cool style)
>River City Ransom: Underground (co-op beat-em-up)
>Road Redemption (road rash remake, splitscreen)
>Serious Sam series (pretty sure all their games have co-op and splitscreen)
>Shadow Warrior 2 (Co-op fps with great gore and visuals)
>Space Beast Terror Fright (literally the movie "aliens", pretty scary)
>Space Hulk: Deathwing (Warhammer FPS where you kill swaths of enemies)
>Sven Co-op (Classic Half-life Co-op. Free to play)
>Synthetik: Legion Rising (kick ass stick shooter roguelike about cyborgs)

>only 1.8 gb small
>supershort loading-times
>awe-inspiring caves
>can get drunk with friends

I have way more fun with this than with Borderlands 3
