So I just got myself a 2009 Mustang GT/CS, V8. I've never really been into cars or anything like that, but I want to take care of this baby and make it an investment. Any tips on how to keep it healthy and any possible mods that might be worth getting? Of course I understand a lot of mods are simply cosmetic but I would like this thing to be as badass looking as possible. Like I said, I really only know how to change a tire and change my oil, so I'm also looking at this as a possible hobby and an opportunity to learn some useful skills.

Just keep it clean, waxed, and in good repair. There's really not much else you can do to it.

Actually I just saw:

>I would like this thing to be as badass looking as possible.

Well since you say that, you can put some graphite powder on the spark plugs to lower drag in the fuel mixture. An old school trick to get faster and smoother shifting is to put about 1lb of sawdust in the transmission. It aids in lubrication because it holds oil and the sawdust polishes everything while helping lock up between synchro's making shifting far smoother and rigid.

get a garage and a car cover drain all the fluids and leave it for 20-30 years and you might get a return thats profitable.

if you live in a place that snows dont drive it in the winter. wash and wax it if you do. actually make a habbit of just washing and waxing it in general.

as far as comesmetics go. blackest darkest tin on the windows with smoked out head lights. and black rims.

get rid of the wheel gap. lowering springs or coilovers.

why does it have a hood scoop? why does it have side vents?
fucking mustangs.

don't try to drift it or do any crazy burnouts at car meets.
you will crash and embarrass yourself.

Here's what you should do
>Go to car shows
>Brag about how it's a "future classic"
>Install an air filter which the box says it gives you 10 horse power
>Black out your headlights so they work less
>Leave in the middle of the show
>rev engine loud so everyone sees you leaving
>come back 30 minutes later
>rev just as loud so they see you again
>eat a burger
>buy a toy car to display on the hood of your real car
>peel out of car show and plow into a group of 9 year-olds.

You know, just like every mustang owner ever.

Jesus fuck, do people actually do this? I knew Mustang owners were some of the biggest cunts ever but damn this is just bad taste. Here I was thinking those snobby Cayman S owners were fucking terrible. But leave it to white trash.

>brb gotta take my rusted out, exhaust leak trans am out to the car show lol

>Ford Mustang:
>Everyone knew you were a tool. May as well get the ultimate tool accessory.

youtube "mustang car meet" and you'll find dozens of crash videos
its almost a stereotype now
never driven a 'stang so i cant hate on 'em
the only generations I like are the 1st, fox body and the new '15+ model
OP: here's some motivation.
lose the wing at least, possibly get new wheels,
and depending on your taste- see if you can find yellow fog lamps
for some character

I don't understand. Why'd you get a Mustang like that if you aren't into cars? Makes no sense at all to me.

I don't really like this generation. the new 350r is pretty bitchin though. anyway I drive a corolla, fancy cars belong on tracks(and trucks belong in fields or hauling)

I always think of a disowned love child of a Chrysler 300 and a Porche Cayman S when I see the 2016 Mustangs. If this is the 2017 model, well, Ford is just trying to look fancier than they are.

The inside of it looks atrocious too. No subtlety at all, just over the top bullshit. Shit looks like an AC-130 cockpit.

Throw in about 4-5 aftermarket oil pressure gauges, some tachs and a "Nitrous" meter and we are ready to take off. May as well throw a jato on that bitch to really make it fly

You'd need a Jato to win an races in a Mustang ahueueuehueheuheuheuhee

upon further inspection that actually is a truck interior. unless the mustang comes with a factory brake controller and massive side mirrors

I dunno about the mirrors, they don't look too big. But I think that is the brake pedal not a controller. Unless one of those contraptions in the dash is a brake controller. I've only see externally mounted brake controllers. That picture is from a website claiming it was the 2017 Mustang.

that is so obviously a trucks interior. the mustang is riddled with horse logos.
that is also a concept design and in no way what the 2017 mustang will look like
