I'd like to live somewhere where I can

-Get by with just English

-Not have to drive

-Ignore politics and not worry so much about getting fucked with, yelled at, or robbed when I go out.

speaking from experience everywhere in canada that isn't Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver is like this

even Quebec City, though you'll need to at least have Google Translate on your phone for some stuff. but the signs are all bilingual and there's enough tourism and media/tech jobs that most people will deal with you in english

even in rural quebec, while there's lots of french-only towns, there's also random ass english burgs around. Hudson is quite nice and is mostly german heritage :^)
