After long holidays with smoking everyday i decided to take a little break and found out that i cant sleep without weed.

My typical day goes like this: i sleep 4 hours, have a really shitty day at work, come back home, feel so shitty that i dont even want to smoke and want to sleep so much that i think that i would get asleep as soon as i hit a pillow, but instead i lie in darkness for hours.

Should i force myself to smoke weed tonight to fall asleep even if i would feel bad?

sounds like youve been gettin' 4 hours of sleep. call the doctor when youve get no sleep for 4 days-- that's enough to start getting longer-term damage.

why are you tbreaking in the first place anyway smoke weed every day bro
smoke a lb. if you have to get sleep that badly. take Nyquil a double shot if and only if youre not using or are sensitive to acetaminophen then take a 1mg-3mg melatonin before all this like 30min beforeif possible
make sure youre smoking that firebomb weed though or youll just be shaking and not passing out
*note dph and a little dxm will put you down the most, the melatonin will help regulate your sleep schedule off the drugs

Four hours of sleep is not enough for me, i need at least 7, better 8. After a week of sleeping like that i feel negative consequences already: bad blood pressure, trouble concentrating, bad mood, low energy.

I will buy some pills today. But it bothers me that i depend on weed so much to fall asleep properly.

>why are you tbreaking in the first place anyway smoke weed every day bro
Because smoking everyday is dangerous for health, i have to take little breaks to avoid the feeling of brain fog at least.

I have the same issue. If you can, i would probably just smoke a little just to get to sleep. Since sleep is so important and you seem to be able to go days without smoking.

Start taking melatonin every night and go to bed at the same time. It doesn't work overnight, but it slowly gets on back on a regular sleep schedule.

Otherwise, suck it up for a week or two and your sleeping problems should go away.

There's a well known herb used for lucid dreaming called "Calea Zacetechichi". I'm not sure if the herb alone causes sleepiness, but I did order a blend years ago that contained Calea as well as poppy seeds, and a few other herbs. It's supposed to be legit and give intense lucid dreaming if you drink a tea infusion and smoke a joint of it. I never drank the tea, sources say its one of the most foul tasting things on Earth, but I smoked a joint or two before bed a few times and I do think it helps promote restful sleep. I dont have much experience with it though. Look it up.

Generally speaking, you shouldn't take hormones regularly. Don't take hormones (like melatonin) for sleep unless you're experiencing jet lag.

If only /weed/ were young again. How bright the past is. Forget the haters and smoke moar oldfag. I know you're in your late twenties, even if that other guy doesn't. DPH will knock anyone out (cept' /deli/) and "Smoke Moar" used to be a lauded mantra of /weed/. Now all you hear is legitimate advice. By 2020, /other/ will be telling people to avoid airhorns and silly string and /jenk/ will be deleted.

Smoke or die faggot. You either smoke, or you die.
>>4876560
>Just eat hormones every night.
They won't increase the quality of your sleep, and they'll cause a down-regulation of your natural melatonin production, meaning you'll have trouble falling asleep without them. Use melatonin if you need to fly to a different time-zone. Unless you're in transition or something, avoid regular use of hormones.

I was having this same problem... I found just having a good ol' fashioned stacked busy day fixed it. Now I get home late and boom - right to sleep. Just make yourself busy for a week or two and by then you will be good to go

Damn, nobody responded to this? I know there is more than enough habitual stoners on here that this has to apply to others too. This used to always happen to me when I smoked 4-5 times a day and then I'd get colder when I did smoke. Fast forward to getting over a really bad flu where I didn't have the energy to smoke, then only smoking once or twice a day, and now I get a massive hot flash when I smoke now. It's lessened now that I'm back to smoking pretty often, but if I don't smoke right before bed it's damn near a guarantee that my pillow case is going to be soaked with cold sweat when I wake up.

For me, when quitting weed I suffer from insomnia for about a week or so. I get tired around the time that I usually do, but I find myself doing more tossing and turning during the night than actual sleep.
Low doses of benadryl help, as does a small amount of alcohol. Getting physical exercise is a more surefire way of ensuring that you will sleep though
