Hey, I posted this in the wrong board earlier because I'm dumb. I dont wanna type it all out again so here's the skinny: 1) Never used before. Friend has some, I am considering. 2) I'm diabetic (genetic) should I look out for anything? 3) I'm sort of worried about the brain shit. I don't know much about the bad stuff except what dare taught me and dare is full of shit. Is there anything I should freak out over? Is three anything it affects which isn't negative but isn't something I would have considered? Thanks in advance

Don't do it until after high school. DARE isn't completely full of shit. It can mess with your brain during your formative years. The commercial with the dude melting into his couch is kind of an accurate depiction.

My name is DARE and im here to say, dont smoke the devils lettuce cause it'll ruin your brain in a major way!

Canadian scientists say 19 but do your own reading and decide if it's something you're personally comfortable with.
Watch your glucose levels like normal and don't eat anything insane, pot's a vasodilator so it can lower it.

It probably won't kill you if you did a little every now and then, but if you turn into a total pothead it can change the trajectory of your life, just when you're trying to fit all the pieces together.

Sorry for the late reply, I fell asleep
I'm 20 so that seems reasonable. I was wondering if it was still 25 because that's when the brain finishes developing but at the same time I don't know if memory develops until then
>>4939204 I believe it, I've seen lesser drugs do worse.

Normal REM sleep does a lot for memory retention so you'll remember less about the days you smoke.
Use it responsibly and it won't screw with your long-term development at all. Space it out a few days, only experiment in safe places, monitor your usage.
this guy's right. It isn't as much the pot that's going to mess your head up, it's how your priorities change when you discover it. You'll get a feel for how important it's going to be to you pretty early on and you have to choose how it fits in with everything you've got going on.

should add that even if you become a daily smoker, you'll realize it doesn't do a lot of direct harm to your health anyways. More than coffee, less than cigarettes.

2. maintain your usual glucose management throughout the munch
3. other than smoke inhalation, reduced bloodflow to the hypothalamus is my only real concern that has any good science behind it, and it's a temporary effect and we don't know what problems it may cause, but it's similar to the effects seen in smoke inhalation.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. That's a huge relief.

Are you sure? Cause like, if I use insulin and it turns out my body processes pot before the brownie then I'm gonna straight up die

I don't think anyone knew you were dealing with edibles, man. It won't be the pot that messes with your body. It doesn't You def shouldn't assume you're going to be able to appropriately respond to your diabetes your first time trying it
You should see about getting a smaller portion of the brownie so your levels are more stable. Pot brownies aren't lightly flavored, your body's getting a fat and sugar bomb eating a full one.

You should see about getting a friend who smokes to show you the ropes of glass/vape. Buy lunch or bring snacks.

oh no

I don't think anyone knew you were dealing with edibles, man. It won't be the pot that messes with your body, it'll be the food. You shouldn't assume you're going to be able to appropriately respond to your diabetes, for sure.*

It's still being debated if it actually does mess or damage your brain if your younger, we know alcohol does since its literally a poison.
And some of the researchers that did one of the most popular tests said it was flawed because they couldn't find enough kids that had only smoked weed.

But always be wary, theres risks with taking any substance legal or illegal in the end of the day its your choice.

who gives a shit if you are diabetic.. just smoke the fcking herb. never used before? you will find it hard to get high the first time as its the first time your cannabinoid receptors are gonna be working. prolly will take 2-3 tries to really get high. brain shit? there is no brain shit to worry about, if anything it will make you smarter and make you understand stuff more deeply.

That's true, I smoked since I was 15 and now I'm stupid jobless fuck. I got some friends now, though.

It'll take a while until they have decent research on the subject, it's better not to risk it if you can.

I just noticed, can't you just copy and paste the text? How stupid are you? Don't smoke it, you can't afford to loose more IQ points.

>its the first time your cannabinoid receptors
>what are endocannabinoids
While I can't explain why sometimes people don't feel it on the first try, it's absolutely not because your cannabinoid receptors have never worked before.

its because they have never been activated by ingesting/smoking thc/cannabinoids before. of course they have worked before but they havent been activated in a way that gets you high before - this is what takes a few tries usually for the newb, but when they do break through.. high as a kite you will be
