What kind of papers do you use? I've been using Raws bc organic but they fucking suck. They suck so bad. They don't adhere to themselves. Are there any good organic hemp rolling papers that have adhesive that actually works?

I bet ur licking away all the adhesive and will have this problem no matter what paper u use... I say this cuz I went thru the same thing a few years ago. Try only moistening the backside of the gum line with ur tongue or wet finger, that has always worked for me and I roll almost exclusively with raws.

Another possibility in my mind is that u let ur papers get too old, but I have papers over a year old that still work fine so idk about that theory either.......

Something else u could try is a brand like Glass. They're clear rolling papers made out of plant cellulose. They look cool af and don't use any adhesive since the material will stick to itself once moistened.

Hope that helps, and remember to not discount user error as a possibility in a situation like this one.

Imo if you had a raw package and the glue doesn't work, it's probably a faked raw package. Quite a lot of those around

i have been using these liquorice papers and they are pretty easy to roll up good joints with. i have to build a skin to make a large jointtho but i enjoy rolling with them.ever so slightly rougher smoke but nice papes

I've tried the wet finger thing. Maybe the papers at the store are old? Maybe I'm inept? Who knows. I've never had an issue rolling other papers. Those glass ones sound pretty cool though!

Thank you again everyone for your insights! The more opinions the better! So interesting to hear what everyone uses, since most of my friends use pre-rolls. I feel like rolling joints is something people don't learn to do anymore. Or maybe that's just NY bc everyone is obsessed with blunts

I always use the classic JOB 1.5 rolling papers. For a long time I thought it was to much paper because I roll small joints, but by god it makes the joint roll easier and the papers are higher quality then what I was smokeing ( 1.25 tops papers). And the joint smoke better to.

Yeah the whole idea is that smoking the glue probs isn't good for you so they minimize what they put on there. It's definitely more difficult to get raws to adhere.

The raw ultra thins literally tell you on the pack not to lick the gum directly, and to lick the back of the paper otherwise you might lick the gum off

You're probably slobbering them like an autist, and wiping the gum off them.
I've never had a problem with raw. Every habitual smoke I know uses them, or juicy jaw.

I recommend just buying some kind of cone in bulk for convenience. Pay something like $100 for 1000 of them and you just stuff em and they pull nice.

If you really like rolling raws should be fine the papers must either have sat in heat for too long or you did something wrong.

EZ wider double wides. Not organic at all, but I already smoke cigarettes so I' don't mind smoking a little bleached paper. They are the perfect thickness that they burn super slow, allowing you to roll joints as wide as your middle finger since they are so damned wide. Don't want a stupid, comically fat joint? Then your just crease the excess, lick along the crease and tear off the excess paper. Also the rolling paper has a certain 'stiffness' to it so it doesn't crinkle tear easily if you're rolling in subpar conditions.

I think a lot of the Raw products on Amazon are fake. The price is too good to be true and they don't burn or stick as evenly . The barcode on mine says something like 'not labeled for sale in USA'

I still use fake Raws in a pinch but my preference is the Zig Zag hemp papers.

I haven't rolled a joint in maybe a decade (bong and occasional blunts only now) but I liked the JOB 1.25s, especially when rolled with one of those hand-rolling 'machines.'
RAWs fucking suck (tear apart easily, gum doesn't want to stick, and they burn more unevenly than others). I tried JOB Crystal once and they had similar issues.

Got me a long roll of Juicy Jay's again, they remind me of those infused water drinks: Barely noticeable flavor but it looks pretty. It's one step less poser than golden papers, probably great for Instagram pictures.
