WWE MAIN EVENT - FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN - 205 LIVE

> Watch all of this in http://taima.tv/r/wooo and http://taima.tv/r/woooalt
> Before WWE SmackDown at 8pm EDT / 1am BST, watch WWE Main Event at 7:40pm EDT / 12:40am BST
> Watch the third hour of SmackDown with the cruiserweights on WWE 205 Live at 10pm EDT / 3am BST

Bayley to address last week’s vicious attack on Sasha Banks
> All good things must come to an end, and the friendship of “The Golden Role Models” is the latest example of the old mantra. After suffering another setback against Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax on last week’s SmackDown, Bayley brutally attacked her friend Sasha Banks and targeted her injured leg. The SmackDown Women’s Champion will address the WWE Universe and explain her actions. How will Bayley attempt to justify her heinous deed?

Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles set for Intercontinental Championship showdown
> The chaos surrounding the Intercontinental Championship was ratcheted up with the return of Sami Zayn, but Jeff Hardy will walk into Friday Night SmackDown with a major challenge awaiting in the ring. The Charismatic Enigma will face AJ Styles in an Intercontinental Title clash of rivals on the blue brand.

> Hardy reclaimed the workhouse championship in a gritty win over The Phenomenal One, but the outspoken Superstar has been crying foul ever since Hardy’s dramatic Nick Gageh. The reemergence of Zayn threw another wrench into the title picture, as The Great Liberator has staked claim to the championship as well. The three competitors brawled inside the squared circle last week on SmackDown, and it was Zayn who walked up the ramp with a wry smile after delivering a Helluva Kick to Hardy. Will Hardy be able to keep the focus on the ring and defend his title against the skillful Styles? Or will Zayn make his presence felt once again?

Bray Wyatt to unveil newest creation on “The Firefly Fun House”
> A new member will be added to “The Firefly Fun House” gang, as Bray Wyatt is set to unveil an all-new creation on SmackDown. Wyatt has been absent since The Fiend’s Universal Championship loss at WWE Payback. In the wake of defeat, what new creature will “The Pied Piper of Puppets” reveal?

Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch to trade haymakers with Legado del Fantasma
> Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch were probably liking their chances of picking up their second consecutive victory against Ever-Rise last week. After all, The Brit-Am Brawlers had Chase Parker & Matt Martel on the ropes with a combination of fierce strikes, punishing suplexes and some deadly double-team maneuvers. Unfortunately for Lorcan & Burch, they never got the chance to put their newfound rivals down for a three-count, as Legado del Fantasma suddenly stormed the ring with steel chairs and began swinging for the fences on all four Superstars.

> NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza even went so far as to place duct tape over the eyes and mouths of Ever-Rise while “The Leader of Leaders” looked dead into the camera and proclaimed, “This is my show.” Lorcan and Burch would certainly beg to differ, and this Friday, they’ll have their chance to retaliate when they square off with Wilde and Mendoza for what is sure to be a hard-hitting tag team collision that will not be for the faint of heart. Mendoza and Wilde are on the biggest roll of their careers since aligning with Escobar, but who will prevail when they slug it out with the take-no-prisoners Lorcan and Burch?

Ever-Rise, Adonis to compete on must-see edition of the purple brand
> In addition to a blockbuster main event that pits Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch against Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza of Legado del Fantasma, 205 Live will also feature Ever-Rise competing in a tag team match and Ashante “Thee” Adonis looking for a singles bout against another veteran. After being savagely pummeled by Legado del Fantasma during their tag team match against The Brit-Am Brawlers last week, Chase Parker & Matt Martel missed out on the opportunity to gain retribution when they lost a fan vote to determine who would battle Wilde & Mendoza tonight, a poll which was won by Lorcan & Burch.

> Nevertheless, after catching a beatdown from Legado del Fantasma, Ever-Rise will certainly have a chip on their shoulders when they step between the ropes for a tag team collision tonight. Adonis, who has been mired in a bit of a losing streak, believe…

Sometimes you want to see a back-and-forth technical display.

Sometimes you want a big fucker to brutally kick the dogfucking shit out of people.

This thread is the latter. "Workrate" discussion has no business here. Share with me clips of people beating the absolute utter fuck out of their opponents (while not actually being any more dangerous than any other wrestler).

Here's one underappreciated motherfucker murdering people for ten minutes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgGgTLTLz4g

Wrestling isn't about doing twelve million things, it's about doing a handful well. Test kicked jaws better than anyone in the history of the business and yet I genuinely struggle to think of him actually seriously hurting anyone. Legitimately made every move in that video look like death and yet was probably safe as houses.

Thanks, Triple H.

What would you argue is the saddest thing you've ever seen in the world of wrestling?

For me, its the entire story of Road Warrior Hawk a man who unironically thought he was invincible. He eventually found Christ but even that wasn't enough.

Hawk wrestled every single day like it was the last day of his life.

I remember that episode, it was a match that was a qualification for Survivor Series and yeah, Eddie won with that bang the chair on the ground and pretend he got hit with it trick. Then Kennedy beat him over the head with it anyway.

As a lil jimmy back then, when I heard Eddie had died later, I legitimately thought he had died from Kennedy hitting him with the chair and freaked out thinking I'd watched a murder on TV.

What are some lines that have stuck with you for any particular reason you can think of but for whatever reason you just remember word for word. This feels like cheating because Russo has said a lot of dumb shit throughout the many years but this one comment he made right here made me tap

>Maybe at one point in his life Jim Cornette was a great booker but this isn't 1970 anymore. He would go to Vince and be like we're gonna put someone in a box and then he is gonna tear his way out of the box to get a massive reaction. Bro...its 1996. We're not putting people in boxes anymore that doesn't work.

Tony Khan pre-PPV media call

Tony Khan has done a media call today, some interesting bits of info there, and it feels refreshing to see a promoter being so open.

Glad PAC hasn't been forgotten about too

Tony Khan did a call with the media, some pretty interesting stuff
>Tony Khan says the FTW title is going to be treated much different than any other titles in AEW. They haven't totally established it, but there's a lot in store.

>@bpritchard152 asks about the Britt Baker/Big Swole match being on the Buy In rather than the #AEWAllOut card. He views the Buy In as a chance to get stars out in front of a wide audience and get more exposure. #AEW

>Khan confirms that Britt Baker vs. Big Swole will be a cinematic match.

>Tony Khan says the working relationship between NWA and AEW is reflective of the relationship Khan and Billy Corgan have. Also mentions Chris Nowinski has come in to speak with #AEW talent about concussion awareness, and Nowinski is the one who connected the two. #AEWAllOut

>AEW brought in Chris Nowinski to speak with wrestlers about concussions. Nowisnki introduced him to Billy Corgan years ago. Khan wishes NWA the best and really likes Thunder Rosa.

>Khan says AEW keeps a small circle that way most secrets and surprises don't get out. Mentions Jericho calling someone out for it, and he thinks Jericho was on the right track.

>Free agent Brock Lesnar? Tony Khan says he can't comment but he's enjoyed his work for years. Brock is one of the great big men athletes and he respects him #AEWAllOut

>Khan called Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb "a hit", placed a lot on them and and felt they hit a home run

>On things he's learned in the job: There are often things he wish he did as the red light is going on. 48 weeks a year, all he thinks about is week to week wrestling. The four other weeks, it's all about building PPVs. Says he tries to learn from his mistakes. #AEWAllOut #AEW

>Khan admits he held back on last night's Dynamite wrestling portion, because he believes #AEWAllOut is going to be the best wrestling show since the pandemic started. #AEW

>Tony is talking about the highs and lows of this year... says he knows this will be the pull-out quote of the whole call: “I thought Double Or Nothing kicked the crap out of WrestleMania”

>Went over the testing procedures during this time and how they have handled shows throughout the pandemic

>Attendance for fans at All Out will be closer to 15 percent at Daily's Place, an increase from the prior 10 percent capacity

Again with your disingenuous bullshit? Stop putting words in people's mouths, it doesn't make your argument look good.

>What's the problem here?
what tends to happen is that the initial clickbaity false bullshit sticks around in people's minds more than the truth. This didn't need to be its own thread, it could have gone in the dirt sheet thread. But no, OP had to bring more attention to this for the sake of shitting on AEW, and it backfired. Kindly fuck off, you know this already, you're just shitting up another thread.

>OP had to bring more attention to this for the sake of shitting on AEW
OP actually posted it to be positive and talk about AEW. Him saying " it feels refreshing to see a promoter being so open" is naive and eye-rolling and imo is what kickstarted a lot of the jokes, but otherwise it was just a straight recap

>This didn't need to be its own thread, it could have gone in the dirt sheet thread
people need to make up their minds:
>this didn't need to be its own thread
>we have too many generals
>[positive OP]: Buy a banner
>[critical OP]: bad faith shitposting agenda

how about just letting people post what they want to post?
if you don't want to participate, scroll past.
and if OP says something silly or mark-osh, it's okay to point that out.
