  • AEW World Champion Jon Moxley to appear
  • AEW TNT Championship bout: Mr. Brodie Lee vs. "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes.
  • No Disqualifications: The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho & Jake Hager) vs. Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss
  • "Freshly Squeezed" Orange Cassidy vs. Angelico
  • The Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero M & Rey Fenix w/ Eddie Kingston) vs. Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus w/ Marko Stunt)
  • "Brazilian Booty Bae" Tay Conti vs. Nyla Rose.
  • Matt Hardy to appear.
  • The fallout of AEW All Out.
>AEW TNT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Mr. Brodie Lee (c) vs. “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes
Pay-per-view has proven a frustrating venue for Mr. Brodie Lee; two appearances with two losses to his record, one in the World Title match with Moxley, and now this eight man tag in which Colt Cabana took the deciding pinfall. Lee may not have been the one beaten, but it is still a blemish on his record, and he is now the one suffering the consequences with this championship bout. Wednesday night, it will be Dustin Rhodes who reaps the rewards for that PPV victory when he challenges for a singles title for the first time in All Elite Wrestling, the very title first held by his brother Cody prior to the younger Rhodes fighting Lee. So DYNAMITE not only marks an opportunity for sibling vengeance for Dustin, aiming to reclaim the TNT Championship for The Nightmare Family, but also a chance for “The Natural” to hold a singles title for the first time in over a decade. With those two factors, the victory over Lee would be doubly sweet, and giving Dustin every bit of motivation he could need to knock the figurehead of The Dark Order off his pedestal. Certainly would make for an interesting situation when Cody finally returns to reclaim the TNT Title if his brother was the one holding the championship.

>NO DISQUALIFICATION: The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho & Jake Hager) vs. Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss
ast week on DYNAMITE, on the eve of his Mimosa Mayhem Match at ALL OUT 2020, Chris Jericho defeated Joey Janela in singles competition, but a mere victory was not good enough for the former AEW World Champion. No, Jericho insisted on adding insult to the injury, bloodied up Joey, and smeared a crimson streak across the Orange Cassidy shirt he wore for the match. This week, after scoring a victory on THE BUY-IN and watching Jericho take a dive in the Mimosa later in the night, Joey Janela is looking for a measure of revenge! The opportunity comes in the form of a No DQ Tag Team match pitting Joey and his partner Sonny Kiss against The Inner Circle pairing of Jericho and Jake Hager. Surprisingly this is only the second time Jericho and Hager have teamed up for a traditional tag match, but they did mark that outing as a win over Jurassic Express. For Sonny and Joey, in tag team action they rock a 7-2 record, and no doubt have aspirations of building that synergy towards a World Tag Team Title match sometime in the future, and a win over these two Inner Circle members would go a long way towards boosting their tag team resume. And with the No Disqualification stipulation placed on this contest, these four competitors are playing in a wheelhouse that Janela has been known to wholeheartedly embrace. Just go check out his match with Jon Moxley from last year's FYTER FEST, or the bout with Kenny Omega from AEW DARK last October, to see what Joey is capable of when the rules are stripped away. It's not a situation we've seen Sonny Kiss compete in here in AEW, but Kiss is always willing to fight, and there will certainly be one coming his way after being responsible for Jake Hager's elimination in the Casino Battle Royale Saturday night. All four fighters here have a reason to want to duke it out, and the violence will certainly be unleashed when there are no worries about repercussions!

>TAG TEAM ACTION: The Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero M & Rey Fenix w/ Eddie Kingston) vs. Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus w/ Marko Stunt)
On Saturday night at ALL OUT 2020, the Jurassic Express duo of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus put up a tremendous fight against The Young Bucks, but were ultimately topped in tag team action. Their opponents for this W…

As soon as a wrestler is no longer under WWE contract, they are not a "WWE guy" any longer.
You don't "own" wrestlers for life once they have wrestled in your promotion.
Stop being a possessive weirdo. This is why they call WWE and it's fans a cult. And this is a pretty compelling piece of evidence for that argument, insisting you "own" wrestlers for life.

For sure, especially since WWE spent the last 5 years literally trying to sign up every single talented wrestler in western wrestling. Of course, the same people spamming "durr WWE reject" would not be spamming "durr AEW reject" if one of AEW's guys left to join WWE, it'd be framed as "HAHA SINKING SHIP THEY WANT OUT".

The only good point he makes is that AEW really needs that second show ASAP, their roster is insanely big for the TV time they have

Yeah let's not pretend a slipshod title defense for Invasion Attack has anywhere near the inherent gravitas of a Wrestle Kingdom main event. And of course the other reason why Omega received far more Western attention than any Japanese wrester: you know white that is.

Now that AEW hit a million viewers, will this promo go down as their "Austin 3:16" moment?

I'll like this new character if outside the ring he is this goofy fun loving babyface type but then when the bell rings he is just a ruthless vicious murdering bastard heel who goes total overkill on destroying opponents and cheats at every opportunity. And then when people try to call him on it in interviews he just downplays it as "oh Im just having fun maggle "
There could be something to this if there is that disconnect between his out of ring character and in ring charatcer. Like a kinda of Jekyll/Hyde type deal.

The first few posts are from this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter. For the full newsletter and much more get a subscription at http://www.f4wonline.com/
Dave Meltzer's star ratings are now posted in their own thread, so look for it.
Use this thread to post news as it comes through. Do not use the old thread for anything new, please move discussion to here instead.

I need more pictures of Meltzer wearing a mask. which has been a staple of the dirt sheet threads when Coronamania started running wild long before "insert country's or county's or state's leader here" mandated them for your own use. Can people help make more? Especially the people who make Bumble stuff. The Bumble is back, put those talents to use here too, if you have the time to assist.

> The WWE's ability to license and merchandise Brock Lesnar ended this past week, which comes months after the end of the actual contract.

> Lesnar had been a free agent since WrestleMania but that news never broke and at the time considered largely a formality given it made no sense for WWE to use him during the pandemic and the belief was that he was out of everyone else's price range. The belief was that, at 43, he was not going to do UFC once he pulled himself again out of the USADA testing pool and that AEW would not be able to afford to make a comparable offer to what WWE could in his case, and he's purely a money guy.

> In the case of UFC, if there is any interest, given his age, the key would be he would want to rush to get back into the testing pool if he was seriously considering fighting. Lesnar is worth a ton of money, not to UFC, but to ESPN right now for at least one fight with Jon Jones. As soon as the news broke, Jones started pushing for it since it's theoretically an easy win with a big price tag.

> For AEW it would be a statement move, but ultimately in this environment such a move, given the price tag we are talking about and the schedule he's looking at doing, it wouldn't appear to make any economic sense. Plus a key part of his WWE act, Paul Heyman, is still under contract to WWE. Tony Khan was asked specifically about Lesnar, praised him heavily, and said that he couldn’t comment on whether or not there were any negotiations going on.

> The contract gives the WWE rights to continue to sell merchandise for a length of time, in this case around five months, after the deal expires. That period is what just expired this past week.

> One person in the company noted that it makes no sense to sign Lesnar to a new deal at the moment, as it would only be to keep him from AEW. The belief is Lesnar could, and probably would try to use AEW as leverage, but that at the end of the day, the belief is Lesnar's value to AEW would be nowhere near his price tag and a deal with Lesnar makes no sense for a company basically trying to just break even during the pandemic.

> It was said that for Lesnar, like for Tyson Fury (who issued a challenge to Drew McIntyre this past week for a match), that it's at this point Saudi Arabia and WrestleMania as the only shows that make sense right now and the belief right now is Saudi Arabia won't happen this year. Lesnar’s name had been talked about in WWE in reference to a Drew McIntyre rematch for this coming WrestleMania, but that was if McIntyre was to retain the title, which has also been considered to go to Randy Orton, who in theory would be earmarked for Edge and not Lesnar. But nothing in that direction is close to being decided.

> Lesnar and WWE was described as the exact same thing that UFC is doing with Conor McGregor, in the sense that his pay is so high for a show that it doesn't make sense to use him until you have a big money event. His contract expiring isn't a new thing but in the past he's always signed a new deal before the time frame where the WWE's ability to merchandise him ends. When that time frame ended, they had to remove all merchandise from the web site. Mike Johnson at PW Insider reported that there were talks for a new deal, which would have allowed them to continue selling his merchandise, that had an impasse.

> Lesnar usually has his deal expire by design, and teases going to UFC, which would give him a big offer. It is believed Lesnar received $8 million for his UFC 200 fight with Mark Hunt and would have been able to get…

The last Bumble taught us that we should Never Give Up. Johnshiro literally overcame the odds of winning a Bumble that he wasn't even nominated in. It goes to show you that anything can happen this season.

HBH honestly has as much influence as anyone else who participates. It's not like him going "I don't wanna do the ultimate for someone I don't like" means that the win is invalidated in any way. It just means he won't make it and someone else has a chance to make some OC.

To reply to everyone all at once, I'm not the sole person responsible for the Ultimates, I just do the bulk of them because they're fun to do, I'm good at them, and people like them. There's been times where I opted out for several different reasons, and I've even been outvoted on Ultimate designs a handful of times. They're my main contribution to the Bumbles but I'm not the only one allowed to make them.

There's plenty of potential for some heel storytelling come Bumbliest, and we've never rerolled on a shit winner before. Before the "orange man bad" comment I didn't even have an issue keeping him. You might have even talked me into doing an Ultimate.

So, I'll politely decline to do this one, I'm fine with Donald staying, and the less I talk about this the happier I'll be.

Bull. Fucking. Shit.

You'd have to be completely 100% braindead not to know how nominating him would be received. His winning? You'd have to literally be dead to not see the negative reaction coming. You nommed him out of spite for this board, regardless of whether you want to admit that to yourself. You fucked up, so the least you can do is own it instead of trying to act all innocent now you're dug yourself into a hole and digging up isn't getting you out of it.
