We were talking in the AEW thread a bit about theme songs and how they have fallen off. WWEs entire womans division has generic EDM and the entire mens division has drop D buttchug Roman Reigns style music.

AEWs are almost all terrible. Jake The Snakes doesn't fit his character at all. MJFs is alright but the "Im better than you and you know it" at the start feels really forced. Kenny Omegas sounds like something a Twitch Streamer would use for a youtube intro on some edit they did. Impacts are almost all terrible too.

You can blame 90% of this on Royalty Free music but I think what's shocking is that WWE actually hires people to make their themes and they still sound like royalty free music. They need to hire a multi instrumentalist who understands the characters that he is writing for.

Jake The Snake sounds with MIDI drums and what sounds like a Casio keyboards preset synth sounds? He should have some nasty blues rock and roll saloon cigar chompin song.

Jim Johnson was great but it's not like he is the only person on earth who can write a good song. A great theme song can really MAKE a star though. I like Hangman Pages theme and few others for sure. But it's way less common to get a good intro theme nowadays.

Maybe it's just from hearing them so much but I like a lot of TJPW's themes. Miyu and Yuka both have great ones. Shoko's Kirby theme might be kind of weird but it works with her entrance and I can't imagine her with anything else at this point. Yuki Aino's Slayers ripoff is probably one of my favorite entrance themes right now too.

Also the few times they use licensed music is pretty good i.e. Sakisama's Rose of Versailles theme and Hyper Misao's Kai Band theme.

>AEW's Double or Nothing PPV is this Saturday Night
>Watch AEW Dynamite with /wooo/ in /wooo/tube - http://taima.tv/r/wooo and /wooo/alt - http://taima.tv/r/woooalt at 8pm Eastern//1am London. AEW Dark will replay at 6:30pm//11:30 pm in those same rooms. Tonight on Dynamite:
  • AEW Champion Jon Moxley vs. "10" of the Dark Order w/ "The Exalted One" Brodie Lee
  • "Broken" Matt Hardy vs "The Spanish God" Sammy Guevara.
  • MJF vs. Marko Stunt.
  • Arn Anderson and Jake Roberts go face to face.
  • Rey Fenix vs. Orange Cassidy.
>NON-TITLE: AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. 10 (w/ Mr. Brodie Lee)
“You may find your AEW career is over before it started!” Those were the words of the World Champion last week regarding his challenger for “Double or Nothing” Mr. Brodie Lee, but they could also be foretelling of what will go down this Wednesday night when the Dark Order member dubbed “10” steps into the ring with Moxley.

The man once known as Preston Vance aligned himself with Mr. Brodie Lee several weeks ago, and since that decision, has gone 2-0 on “AEW DARK”, a distinct improvement from where 10 felt his career was going prior to The Dark Order. But those opponents were not in the league of Jon Moxley by any stretch of the imagination, and this one will be the fight of 10's young career. Couple the assault Moxley suffered at the hands of The Exalted One and his Dark Order after the hard-fought Kazarian match with the theft of the World Championship belt, and Jon is bursting at the seams to unleash violence. 10 will be a message to Mr. Brodie Lee, there is no doubt about that, the only thing in question is will 10 survive and what will be left of him?

>REVENGE! “Broken” Matt Hardy VS. “The Spanish God” Sammy Guevara
One week ago Matt Hardy and Kenny Omega were riding high after defeating Santana and Ortiz in tag team action, a bit of comeuppance for their interference in the Street Fight the “Dynamite” prior. Even the attempted involvement of Sammy Guevara, as seen above, did not sway the odds into the favor of Proud-N-Powerful. Unfortunately for Hardy, the elation of victory was short-lived...

Vanguard-1 is no more, and Sammy Guevara is going to be the one to pay for the transgressions of “Le Champion” this Wednesday night. Vanguard-1 has been a companion to Hardy for some time now, and this loss must be punished, and it's pretty clear Hardy has ever intention of making Guevara suffer once that bell rings. For Sammy's sake, the injury he suffered from the golf cart collision better fully healed up, or at least not as bad as he's letting on, because this Damascus entity is going to destroy “The Spanish God” if it is not. And if that's the case, The Inner Circle may find themselves a man down going into The Stadium Stampede at “Double or Nothing”. But keep in mind, if anyone has a trick up their sleeve, especially in a situation such as this, it is Chris Jericho. This one is sure to color the outlook of Saturday night...

>PREPARATION: Orange Cassidy vs. Rey Fenix
“He never saw it coming” does not do justice to the attack Rey Fenix perpetrated on Orange Cassidy last week on “Dynamite”. Cassidy was blindsided by that kick seen above, just decimated by one-third of Death Triangle, and reigniting a rivalry that ignited just prior to “Revolution” where Cassidy was defeated by DT member PAC.

Due to the circumstances of the world at the moment, Rey Fenix is flying solo now that he's made it back to AEW competition, but it's not unfamiliar territory to him. For example, the AAA Mega Championship that Kenny Omega has defended in AEW a handful of times was actually won from Fenix, and he's had a handful of singles bouts in AEW as well.

Much like Fenix, Cassidy has only competed in a small number of singles bouts in AEW, but has seen great success in that realm elsewhere. So it is with great interest that this bout goes down just a few days before both men compete in the Casino Ladder Match at “Double or Nothing”. This is a chance for one of these men to get a leg up on the other before Saturday night, before they vie with seven additional wrestlers for a chance at the AEW World Title.

>Watch WWE Smackdown with /wooo/ in /wooo/tube - http://taima.tv/r/wooo and /wooo/alt - http://taima.tv/r/woooalt at 8pm Eastern//1am London. Smackdown will be preceded by Main Event at 7:20//12:20am and followed by 205 live at 10pm//3am, and finally Total Bellas at 11pm//4am. On tonight's Smackdown:
  • WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Bayley vs. WWE NXT Women's Champion Charlotte Flair.
  • The WWE Fuck Sami Zayn Intercontinental Championship Tournament: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles.
  • The WWE Fuck Sami Zayn Intercontinental Championship Tournament: Sheamus vs. Jeff Hardy
  • Otis & Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville & Dolph Ziggler.
>205 Live
  • Isaiah "Swerve" Scott vs. Tyler Breeze.
  • Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch vs. EverRise (FKA 2.0 and 3.0, the team of Scott Parker and Shane Matthews)
>AJ Styles set to face Shinsuke Nakamura on SmackDown tonight
Over the last few weeks, we have seen several WWE Superstars make an appearance on other brands as a part of the brand to brand invitation. Given the fact that the NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is on all the three shows and Baron Corbin recently squared off against Drew McIntyre, it’s not too surprising to see a top RAW Superstar scheduled to make an appearance on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. As a part of the long tournament designed to crown the new Intercontinental Champion on SmackDown, AJ Styles will square off against his long-term rival and the former IC champion, Shinsuke Nakamura. It is expected that the Superstars will deliver a great match, as they share a long-standing history that dates back to the time before either of them were a part of WWE. While Styles will look to make the best of this opportunity by trying to move ahead in the tournament by defeating Nakamura, the King of Strong Style has his own set of reasons motivating him to give his all in this upcoming bout. After all, it is only Nakamura who really has the support of Sami Zayn while the latter remains absent from SmackDown tapings. As a safety precaution during these challenging times, Zayn decided to stay in quarantine. As a result, he was forced to relinquish his title. He has publicly criticized WWE for hosting a tournament to determine the new Intercontinental Champion. As unhappy as Zayn may seem, this situation has created the opportunity to see the former WWE Champion AJ Styles return to SmackDown – a house that he built.

>Otis and Mandy Rose to team up in their match on SmackDown
The storyline involving Otis, Mandy Rose, Dolph Ziggler, and Sonya Deville has had its fair share of twists and turns – thanks to the SmackDown mystery hacker. Ever since WrestleMania 36, all of them have been involved in grudge matches. But tonight, we will finally see all four Superstars battling it out inside the ring. As confirmed by WWE, Otis and Mandy Rose will team up to take on Dolph Ziggler and Sonya Deville on SmackDown this week. Ever since her fallout with her former tag team partner, Deville has found a new friend in Ziggler, and both of them are doing remarkably well in their portrayal of heels with respect to this storyline. Hopefully, it will help them prove their worth so that they can earn a well-deserved push in the future. As for Otis and Rose, they have been immensely over with the crowd. In fact, Otis’ growing popularity saw the SmackDown Superstar walk out with the Money in the Bank briefcase this year. It will be interesting to see what’s in store for this one-half of Heavy Machinery. But for now, his love story with Rose has earned him everyone’s attention.

>Jeff Hardy to extend his rivalry with SmackDown Superstar
Following his return to WWE, Jeff Hardy has found himself feuding with Sheamus. Although Jeff faced Cesaro at Money in the Bank, it appears that he will now be engaged in an extended feud with Sheamus on SmackDown. Both Superstars are set to battle it out for a spot in the semi-final of the tournament to determine the new Intercontinental Champion. Their feud began when Sheamus openly expressed his frustration about the fanfare associated with Jeff’s return to SmackDown. The one-half of Hardy Boyz looked determined to establish his comeback, and in the process, he even attacked Sheamus. Hopefully, they will be booked in a compelling storyline that will give a much-needed direction to their singles run. Both Sheamus and Jeff are talented Superstars who have kept the fans thrilled …

Just because two wrestlers had a match in another promotion doesn't mean that company "owns" that match up and they can't wrestle each other elsewhere. That's like saying CM Punk and Raven should have only wrestled each other in IWC, and their matches in ROH, MLW, TNA, RCW, and FWA should never have happened.

Did I say it should be reserved for one place only?

I said Devaluing. It's a matter of HOW they are putting this match on, not where. Just so happens in this particular case we're referring to WWE in which case I am saying it matters where, but not that it should always matter. Idgaf about reserving feuds to their birthplaces. you twist words.

Meh, putting on a shittier match later in their career doesn't hurt the original match's reputation or value. If anything, it just strengthens the first match's reputation. You're just resorting to dumb tribalism.

> Rebecca Quin aka Becky Lynch, the biggest genuine women’s pro wrestling star in the U.S. of the modern era, shocked the wrestling world on 5/11 by announcing she was pregnant. The announcement was made in the opening segment of Raw that night. It had already gotten out that she would make a major announcement about her future and rumors spread of her being pregnant, and that she would vacate the title to Asuka, who had captured the Money in the Bank briefcase the night before.

> Raw had been advertised around the idea that Lynch, who had not wrestled since her win over Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania, which was taped on either 3/25 or 3/26, confronting the winner of the Money in the Bank match. When Asuka came out, Lynch had the briefcase and opened it, and the title belt rather than a contract was in it, and told Asuka, who she called the greatest wrestler to defend the belt while she will be a mom. “You have been the best wrestler in the world for a long time and it’s why I’m so glad this is happening to you,” she told Asuka, who started the segment as a charismatic heel but ended with Lynch passing the torch to her as the standard bearer of the division.

> Quin, 33, and fiancé Colby Lopez aka Seth Rollins, also 33, were scheduled to get married later this month but the wedding plans were postponed due to the Coronavirus. She indicated no commitment as to when they will get married. “I’ve always, always wanted kids,” Quin said in an interview with People Magazine. “I’m just so career-focused that it became one of those things that, when you’re chasing a dream for so long, I always wondered, `Am I going to get around to it? Is it going to happen for me?’”

> Quin is expecting in December, which would indicate probably February or early March for when she first got pregnant. She said she found out about it in April. She said that her first pregnancy test came back negative, but her own instincts told her differently and she bought a digital test that confirmed her beliefs. “I took the first one wrong,” she said. “Then I took a few more tests until I got a digital one that just said the word `Pregnant.’ I was with Seth at the time and he just threw his hands up in the air, all excited.”

> For the Raw after WrestleMania, which was actually taped before WrestleMania, meaning before she knew she was pregnant, Lynch did an interview that appeared to focus on a return match with Shayna Baszler, who she beat on the show with the idea it was a fluke pin out of nowhere, designed to keep the program alive. Nia Jax returned and was pushed as a monster at about the same time. Both Jax and Baszler were focused on a match with Lynch on that show.

> But on the first Raw new tapings done after WrestleMania, Baszler and Jax instead qualified for the Money in the Bank match and Lynch was not at the taping, which would indicate it being the early part of April when she told the company, and they kept it under wraps for about a month. Money in the Bank was taped on 4/15 so it’s very clear they knew before then. It had seemed weird with Money in the Bank so lacking in star power that Lynch wouldn’t be wrestling on the show.

> The actual original booking plan was for Lynch to wrestle Jax in a singles match at the MITB PPV, and to retain the title. Baszler was originally booked to win MITB and be Lynch’s main rival for the title. This leaves WWE, at a weak point in popularity to begin with, to have who internally were considered its two biggest full-time stars, both the male and female face of the company, Roman Reigns and Lynch, gone at the same time. Both absences will hurt, but WWE has its revenue pretty much guaranteed so losing top stars affects the bottom line less now than probably at any point for almost any company in history.

> As far as the women’s division goes, Asuka, the best worker of the women on the brand, as champion will likely feud with both Baszler and Jax. Lynch made no commitment to anything in the future in her speech on Raw, just thanking the fans, who i…
