>“We’re very open to working with anyone, we don’t exclude anyone. But it does take time to create that trust between companies.

>"And right now AEW is still in the exploratory phase; they’re trying to establish themselves as a brand, what is that brand? They’re about one year in, and we’re starting to see what their brand is all about. Then we’ll have to see if that brand fits our brand of course.

>"At this stage, they still have different styles than we do, and that’s the only thing. We’re looking at what their brand positioning is and whether it complements ours.”

>On whether the exits of AEW stars and executives such as The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Cody have impacted the relationship between the company and NJPW:

>"No. It’s a business, at the end of the day.

>"The wrestlers we hire, we work with on a contractual basis for a certain period of time. Obviously we would’ve loved to have kept having them here but I can understand that if there’s in their minds a bigger and better opportunity, well then that’s just a natural way for competition to move forward. It’s a natural thing.

>"I do also believe the likes of AEW is good for the industry, because it puts a lot of new money into the industry, and a lot of people might be getting more interested in pro wrestling - people who might not have been interested if AEW hadn’t been established. So it can only be good for the industry.”

The World’s Strongest Tag Determination League (mistranslated in English by Baba as Real World Tag League, which is the name that has endearingly stuck among English speakers) is one of the company’s biggest tours of the year and one of the best times for fans of the promotion. AJPW takes pride in the quality of their tag division and tournament, which makes it one of the stand-out traits of the company and is further bolstered when featuring popular outsiders from the company’s partner promotions. Winners of the Tag League will challenge for the titles on one of the early January Korakuen Hall shows. If the Champions win, they will fight one of the teams they lost to in the League or a new team.

>Watch WWE Smackdown with /wooo/ in /wooo/tube - http://taima.tv/r/wooo and /wooo/alt - http://taima.tv/r/woooalt at 8pm Eastern//1am London, followed by 205 live at 10pm Eastern 3am London and Championship Wrestling from Hollywood at 11pm Eastern//4am London. WWE Main Event will air before Smackdown, starting at 7:40pm Eastern//11:40pm London, and featuring * Natalya vs Sarah Logan and No Way Jose vs Eric Young.

WWE.com's preview for Smackdown only lists 1 (one) point, that Bray Wyatt will reveal a new member of his Firefly Funhouse. 0 (zero) matches announced.
>205 Live
Hot off the heels of last's week episode being cancelled, there is currently NO preview for 205 live this week, if it indeed even airs.

Smackdown preview:
The current Universal Champion will be in the spotlight as he is confirmed to appear in a segment. So, there must be a clarification if the existing feud over the title will continue or not. Also, one of the major rivalries of this time will continue until WWE TLC as King Corbin will be looking forward to seeking retribution against Roman Reigns.

Meanwhile, in the women’s title picture, the speculation is that the existing rivalry between the champion and challenger, Nikki Cross won’t be coming to an end anytime soon. So there should be another title match announcement for TLC without a delay when SmackDown airs from the Legacy Arena at the BJCC, Birmingham, Alabama.

The Fiend Bray Wyatt successfully retained his Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series this past Sunday Night. He overcame the technical resistance put up by the veteran superstar with his unimaginable physical strength. Now he is being advertised to reveal a 'new face’ on a special edition of Firefly Funhouse, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt was pushed both physically and mentally in a Survivor Series showdown with Daniel Bryan. Perhaps Friday Night SmackDown may provide a glimpse into where the Universal Champion’s mind is now at.

>"Wyatt will reveal a new face in “Firefly Fun House” this Friday.
Will someone or something be joining the crew of Huskus the Pig Boy, Abby the Witch, Mercy the Buzzard and Rambling Rabbit? Will they have a new friend? Or does Wyatt have something much bigger and sinister in store?” There is no update available on what this 'new face’ could turn out to be. But apparently, we should get a hint of what could be the next obstacle if any for the champion. Daniel Bryan is being rumoured to continue his quest to pick up the blue-belt. So, he might decide to interfere in the match. This, in turn, would set up a rematch between them with a stipulation added to it. If Bryan is moved from the title picture then someone like Braun Strowman could come back to the main-event scene. Bryan, on the other hand, will enter the mid-card title picture as he still has some hard feelings over comments made by Nakamura’s mouthpiece, Sami Zayn. So, perhaps WWE could arrange an IC title match between them at TLC.

Roman Reigns turned out to be the sole survivor for Team SmackDown at the bygone PPV’s traditional tag team elimination match in the men’s division. It looked like a beginning of a big push for the Wrestlemania season. But first, Reigns has to get rid of Corbin. The King of the Ring winner digested some of the pendant moves from Reigns before he got eliminated. So, he will come for retribution, for sure.

Right now, reports say that the creative team may book Reigns and Corbin in a Dog Collar Match at WWE TLC. But the FOX officials are reportedly unhappy with this angle. So there could be some changes to the stipulation of the match which should be disclosed tonight on SmackDown.

Bayley suffered a pinfall loss at the hands of Shayna Baszler at Survivor Series and that loss also let down the SmackDown brand. Now, she’ll have to bring back the mean heel persona to extend her championship reign. Nikki Cross still has a pinfall advantage over her in the recent past which hints that the next opponent for the champion is pretty much decided. So these two are most likely to be booked in a rematch in TLC, when tonight's SmackDown airs.

The house was on my childhood property but resembled some amalgamation of various houses I had been in before.

>Watch GCW Chopper City in the Ghetto at 8pm EST / 1am GMT in /wooo/tube 3 - http://taima.tv/r/wooo3

Want something more explosive than dynamite and featuring the next generation? GCW returns to the Voltage Lounge in Philadelphia tonight with Chopper City in the Ghetto. In the main event, the saga revolving around GCW World Champion Nick Gage and his title belt continues. After Rickey Shane Page stole the title belt from Gage a few months ago, he’s been ducking Gage around the world. Tonight, Atticus Cogar – a disciple of RSP – will go one on one with Gage to try and bring the title officially to RSP’s camp. It’s an interesting situation as the last time we saw Cogar in Game Changer Wrestling – for his debut – he was kidnapped by Gage for being affiliated with RSP. Cogar is a tough nut to crack, but facing an angry Nick Gage may be a bit more than he can chew. Here’s the lineup for the show:

GCW World Championship Match: Nick Gage (c) vs. Atticus Cogar

Singles Match: Tony Deppen vs. Matt Vandagriff

Singles Match: Matt Tremont vs. 1 Called Manders

Singles Match: Blake Christian vs. Ophidian

Singles Match: Jimmy Lloyd vs. Ruckus

Singles Match: KTB vs. Dan Maff

Tag Team Match: Hate Trash Disaster (SHLAK & Markus Crane) vs. YDNB (Jordan Oliver & Ellis Taylor)

> WWE’s four days in Chicago’s Allstate Arena were headlined by the Survivor Series, which drew the largest, but hardly the loudest crowd of the weekend. A legitimate sellout of 11,500 fans on 11/24 indicated a few things. First, the lowest rated brand by far drew the loudest reactions. The matches pushed the hardest on television got mixed reactions. Nobody seemed to care much for Raw and Smackdown, and were heavily into NXT.

> And based on the fact they did a scoreboard on the seven interbrand matches, which ended with NXT winning four, Smackdown two and Raw one, you could very clearly see the priority right now is trying to market the NXT brand as not being viewed as developmental or lesser, and most importantly, use the show to increase Wednesday night ratings. From a strategic standpoint, they couldn’t have done better. Time will tell if the strategy works long-term but writing this without knowledge of how numbers will turn out, thus far the angles that built the show plus the appearances of main roster talent have turned around the NXT ratings.

> The idea is, at least for now, that you will no longer see the Raw and Smackdown talent on NXT as much, so getting the brand over is the key long-term. It should help and the race should tighten up. I would suspect NXT viewership to increase even without Raw & Smackdown talent, at least to well above the pre-SS build-up levels. The key was the push in making people like Shayna Baszler, Rhea Ripley, Keith Lee, Roderick Strong and Matt Riddle into stars based on booking here, combined with the fact that of the three singles title matches, the NXT title bout with Adam Cole beating Pete Dunne was clearly the best of the three.

> The other aspect is if it hurts live viewership of AEW, which was the initial goal. DVR viewership (see WWE section) is another aspect of the Wednesday story. All you can say is WWE did everything it could to do so and as well as it could.

> Takeover is anything but a developmental show. With the exception of Bianca Belair, of the 23 wrestlers on the show, nobody was a product of WWE developmental. Shayna Baszler, who had made a name in MMA, and wrestled on indies for a few years and had a name but was inexperienced, was the only other performer on the show you could even say came to WWE without years of international experience with significant promotions. With guys, it’s almost like the all-star team, the PWG and ROH graduates who are doing what they did before, but on a worldwide stage.

> And it works. There were about 10,500 fans at the Allstate Arena on 11/23 for War Games, a number even more impressive because there were five shows in six nights and drew the second largest crowd of the five. If even a few years ago the suggestion was made that you could put NXT and Raw in the same city on the same weekend and that NXT would draw more fans, regardless of how strong Takeovers always have been, it would have sounded ludicrous. The fact the shows almost always have more heat than the major WWE PPV show the next day built on higher profile shows is something that shouldn’t happen.

> Takeovers now are very different from when they started, which was to give wrestlers trained in the WWE system a chance to do essentially programs on television to build to PPV, to garner inexperience for when they are called up to the main roster.

> Now it has nothing to do with that. One can argue rightly that they need more shows, perhaps even a special, for the real developmental talent. One could also say, given the numbers, that it’s beyond proven that the independent scene is far superior to WWE when it comes to creation of the next wave of stars. The irony is developmental was pushed so hard not that many years ago because of the idea the independents don’t turn out wrestlers who can be marketable on a big stage, so they need to find them and train …

Vince will probably "not see it" and have some genius idea for a new character for her that has nothing to do with her background or strengths

Kind of like how allegedly his first thought seeing Keith Lee work babyface at Survivor Series was that he can't wait to make him a monster heel

Mans literally the GOAT of the millennial era. He was awesome in his last WWE run, delivered great matches in NJPW and he's the highlight of almost every AEW on TNT. He even had my gf cracking up last night. Put some respect on mans name

Apologise for what? Jericho's one of the most universally well regarded wrestlers going around and has been for literally decades
