>>Kizarny was built up for weeks and never wrestled on television
He was also specifically only put on TV and only given a push (WWE didn't like his character) because a year previous he warned WWE that one of his fellow developmental workers was suicidal and needed help.

WWE didn't act and the worker later took his own life.

Not wanting any bad PR from the story, WWE rushed to suck up to Kizarny and keep him happy so he wouldn't go running his mouth to the media. They brought up to Smackdown, gave him some vignettes and a small push.

But after less than 2 months they had gotten bored of their new toy and were already putting him back in the toybox.

Kizarny said of this in an interview years and years ago, possibly the Art of Wrestling with Colt Cabana.

Came to WWE at the worst possible time. Even if he were to come to NXT and the Performance Center he'd have ended up the way Sami Callihan ended up when he was over at NXT where they kept promising him a big push and he kept getting stallioned so whatever new indie sensation could be hot potaoted the belt and he was promptly shuffled into the lowest possible slot on the card

Just like Neville and Itami before him.

Nowadays people get up in arms over squashes, but man do I remember fondly that one random time on SD when Undertaker smacked the shit out of FBI. Like, they'd been in contention for the tag-titles a while ago, and here comes UT and just destroys them in a handicap match. Added bonus with the FBI (especially Nunzio) acting scared af and selling it like it's the apocalypse. Like, we don't see this kinda stuff anymore, and if we did, people would just whine and whine.

Also, Jesus stabbing Cena in a nightclub. Like, Cena was back in a week or two wrestling and all that shit after getting shanked in one of his kidneys. That was stupid as hell then, and is even more stupid now.

Squash matches are great but just not squash matches that bury the division. Don't squash guys with titles or in pursuit of titles. Squash guys that are there for it; like if Braun squashed the B team I don't think anyone would care but he probably shouldn't squash Miz and Morrison.

Related to that and this threat though

>That time Kane squashed Nexus days before they formed the Nexus

It was a 7 on 1 handicap match on Smackdown and he just ran through them before the DQ. I always thought it was hilarious that like a week later they became this dominant force and all anyone would've logically had to do was call Kane.

The Chris Benoit Beat the Clock Time Challenge

>Watch how it'll take me less time to make this cup of coffee then it did to beat Orlando Jordan to win the US Championship

What was fantastic about this is contextually speaking the reason why this storyline happened was because Orlando wanted out of his contract after Vince was beyond repulsed at some booking ideas Orlando wanted to make for his character now that JBL didn't need him or the Basham Brothers anymore.

He wanted to do an angle where they portray him as a super babyface for the growing gay community. Apparently Darren Young really loved this idea being a gay child and all and decided to take notes for his gimmick when he was working on Season 1 of NXT with CM Punk

The Ascension were the top team in NXT at the time, being pushed as a Road Warriors/Demolition team of destroyers

The Itami/Finn thing was "these were two of the best super junior in Japan for years"

And finally, Ascension did a great job in that match

Ultimo Dragon held it (& 2 other belts) during his run in WCW, which technically makes him the only person during the Monday Night Wars to hold a WWF title while being part of the WCW roster.

I never heard about this, but it would certainly explain Orlando Jordan getting buried like that. I just assumed they did that because OJ was a shit champion.

Men on A Mission are recognized as former WWF tag team champions in 1994. Their title win in at a house show was purely accidental. Mable fell hard on Quebecer Pierre and stunned him. He couldn’t kick out at the referee’s two count as was planned and had no choice but to get pinned and have a title change. The Quebecers would almost immediately win the titles back two days later.

Bork getting completely dominated over and over again by the Wyatt family during the road to mania 2016, he neither got a match nor any other form of revenge. Kinda weird with how strong he normally is booked.

Isn't this the match that didn't actually happen? Wyatt broke his foot or something so Lesnar just beat up Rowan and went home iirc.

It ended up being a handicap match with Lesnar facing Wyatt & Harper.

this was really scummy looking back, JR was in the hospital when this happened and it made his wife and kids cry because it was so mean spirited

Say what you want about JRs weird commentary nowadays or some stories of him being kind of an asshole as WWE talent relations but it really gets to me how many times he was humiliated or disrespected or outright fired in wrestling.

Vince McMahon have something against him all these years or what? Vince Russo and WCW may have been outright insulting to JR and is always brought up WWE and Vince McMahon have done him dirty over and over and over. I know that WWE humiliates lots of people but it feels like JR happened a lot and it was always really shitty and mean spirited.

That turned out to just be a dirt sheet rumor back in the day. I haven't watched yet, but apparently in the New Jack episode of Dark Side of the Ring, Jim Cornette said WWE never had plans to hire New Jack.

New Jack did get a WWE tryout in 2004. He said in a shoot interview Dean Malenko told him not to speak to Vince McMahon, so New Jack ignored him and went straight up to Vince, introduced himself, and said thanks. Then he said shortly afterward, he went to the whiteboard to check the match order, and his name was erased, someone gave him an envelope of cash and said he was no longer needed. But also, this is New Jack in 2019 recalling something that happened 15 years ago, and he notoriously has brain damage, so the whole story might as well be rumor anyway.

Vince has something against everyone who is smarter and quicker then him in commentary. Look at treatments of all the thise guys on commentary and what kind assclowns there is now. Only Mauro fits bill now, and even he has walked away from his job for couple times. For mental health reasons, but there was reason for those episodes too. Also he would have been humiliated if it wasnt for current day.

Smackdown had a gauntlet match to crown the first "Smackdown Champion" since WWE Champion John Cena was drafted to Raw. JBL won the match, after which Teddy Long came down to the ring with said championship (covered), and said there was no need for a Smackdown Championship since the World Heavyweight Champion (Batista) ended up being drafted to Smackdown.
