Why must he insist in booking AEW and ROH by himself?

Is it a matter of pride? Is he hard to work with? Maybe he thinks his ideas are the ones that count? Big ego?

He already lost one of his EVP's in Cody Rhodes because of this.

I don't know. Tony should let experienced bookers and TV industry professionals handle the creative side of things and he should mainly just act as an overseer veto'ing bad ideas. Trying to do it all himself doesn't fucking work and results in AEW being a random schizophrenic mess of good and bad. This week's Dynamite was really good. Will next week's be good? Who the fuck knows anymore?

Tony thinks having a creative team will lead to more absolute garbage angles like Nightmare Collective. He took over all booking after that angle. Dude just needs to go through a very selective hiring process and get a small team that he works with. His roster is too big to juggle for one guy's thought process.

To be fair, ROH has literally only put on one show since Tony bought it. It's not like it takes a ton of time out of his day-to-day. Has ROH even announced when their next show is yet?

the stuff with malakai black and julia hart isnt that bad at all. its actually pretty in character for malakai since his gimmick is guy who is just satan but has no real memory of being satan he just does evil shit all the time and in this case its corrupting julia hart someone who is considered a random innocent in all this. its actually the better option opposed to say going after brian pillman jr and trying to make him lose his mind and be crazy like his dad was or whatever.

if you wanna talk about stupid storylines in aew having awesome kong of all people be wasted on some shitty stable where brandi rhodes does very shitty acting was the worst thing ever. everything else has at least one redeemable quality. overall aew booking does miss but its at least entertaining misses usually.

You clearly have no fucking clue what you are talking about. Yes, Vince has all the control ultimately, but he also had people around him to give him ideas that he would then take on or reject as he saw fit.

The only people Tony has around him are active members of the roster with their own personal agendas that will occasionally make their way into the book, but ultimately Tony is a basement mark that wrote wrestling fan fiction in high school that was lucky enough to have the money to make it a reality.

it was in some interview he did after he showed up in aew where he talked about what his character was in aew since they clearly called him tommy end when he showed up and he explained that the character of malakai black is essentially something like what if satan was on earth but had no memory of who he was. so im guessing the idea at the time was that tommy end is currently possessed by satan but does not realize it? or something like that.

honestly one issue aew has that you could blame tony for is that people just show up without any real hype like they could have done tons of vignettes for malakai black or moxley or even ruby soho but all of them just did videos on their own social media accounts instead.
