>Cole's entire Owen run, he either dragged down great workers in Ishii/Dax/Joe to before-average matches or had a truly shit match with a broken down Jeff Hardy
Seriously, if there's 3 guys you couldn't pay me to watch a singles match with that's on companies I actually follow in current year, it's Adam Cole, Blake Christian, and EVIL, and even then EVIL is actually talented but is currently the nexus of all bad Bullet Club booking.

AEW is the only 2022 wrestling I’ve seen. Mostly been watching older stuff.

Can’t say I’ve really seen anything bad bad. Without them attempting to new gimmick matches no one has really been put into a situation to fail spectacularly.

Cole and the Bucks have been really uninspired but if you’re still enamored with thigh slaps they’re doing their job.

The womens division has been boring but no outright bad matches. All the matches can easily be trimmed 5 minutes. But that division is at best a long term project. It’s just over featured.

Page vs Punk was disappointing, I was hoping Punk would finally pull page out of work rate mode and into worker mode but it just wasn’t in the cards. Disappointing but not bad by any means.

Their back and forth in it was actually good, the only time Roman as an underdog ever felt natural in spite of the crowd not being into him. Granted the Seth Cash in saved the finish from being a straight Roman Wins LOL and allowed the stud before it to stand out more instead of being hurt by a bad finish.

i haven't followed a lot of NJPW for a while and hearing so often of EVIL vs Ishii being a candidate for worst match of the year sounds like pure lunacy
EVIL was never gonna be a top guy in a roster like that but what a fall from grace

It's all good booking too. The dude doesn't get to work because he has to fuck with the ref 3 times and let Togo & Yujiro do stupid shit on the floor and hit low blows and Taunt. Between that and his opponent's comebacks from the cheating he doesn't get to do anything really. I still think EVIL is great but he's been put in the position of the guy who has shit matches to get heat. The Ishii match at WK isn't horrid, it's like **, but it's a fucking Ishii singles match in The Dome. It shouldn't be even remotely bad.
